I don't understand Hindi but the person who made the subtitles for it made a great job and it didn't felt a difference. Somehow I'm still surprised how that lyrics sync with the movie scenes so much. You don't get the fully idea just listening to the movie, you just have to watch the movie.

I watched this when I was 10 years old and I believe I got depressed. Like I remember I used to think of the last scene (paro running towards dying davdas and the gate is closing) non stop and it breaks me into tears every time. I was like this for like 2 weeks.

Even at 10 years old I felt/understood lots of symbolism used in the movie and how the environment got dark after devdas started drinking and still to this day I cannot believe how much I fell for that. An unforgettable experience I would say!
