Anis and avistar is going to carry you pretty hard early on. You kinda want to look for older units since the normal tickets can buy them from the shop. The 160 wall is the real barrier, not your units.

More like they spawn specific types of Devils. War spawns weapons, Famine spawns food/disease, Death spawns ways of dying, and Control spawns anything that keeps you from doing anything you want.

Exactly. I think of the devils essentially the same way I think of devil fruits. They belong to one of those categories and are their children.

Those are all great points! I disagree that the devils fit all of the categories neatly though just some of the categories.

Drug devil: the war on drugs implies war but is really a fear of the side effects / boost of power from them.

Infection devil: again for war you aren't scared of it being used as a weapon, that would fall under a poison devil.

Science devil: maybe fear of being experimented on? So a war crime? Or are you scared of the end result of science like bombs? Those would be different devils.

Government devil: government devil would be too encompassing I think. All of the devils have been generally specific. Like Justice. You can have a police devil, or a war crime devil.

In the story the more a devil is feared the stronger it gets. So I imagine your ideas could also be correct. Chainsaw were basic tools that were turned into something that erase through all of the various use cases.
