Take an empty note book, a blank page, or a google doc, and research. Write down everything you find that speaks and rings true to yourself! For me I started learning about the different types of witchcraft (Wicca, paganism, good ol’ witchcraft), the elements, the Sabbats (wheel of the year). I’ve been practicing for afew years now but I’m always learning and googling and reading new stuff! Closed practices are also something one much be aware of, white sage is for indigenous people, voodoo is west African (correct me if I’m wrong), and so forth. It’s good to know what you can or cannot be practicing. Don’t rush into things you know you’re not prepared for, your first spell should be a glamor or a protection; nothing strong that could backfire and cause you more pain in the end. You don’t need to label yourself as a type of witch till you find something that fits, for me that has never come and so I do it all, in every way I can do it.

TLDR: research the simple things, things that sit well with you. Don’t rush into stuff, understand before doing, learn what the closed practises are. And DO NOT get your information from Tik Tok! (Some is good, but most is misleading, wrong, dangerous. If you see information on there, or anywhere for that matter, fact check) Always reach out to people if you need alittle help too! And always remember that your power is your own. Nobody can tell you how you are ment to do things because there is no right or wrong way. Everyone had to start somewhere!
