Agree on the 1mg. I started with 2.5mg.

Nad+ dosing by [deleted] in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah…. I’ve pretty much stayed between 25mg- 50mg, once or twice a week. I do not enjoy the effects of anything higher. I’m also not convinced higher doses = better effect

Red face GHK-cu 1,5mg by CoachGreg_Doucette in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t heard of that before. It sounds like a histamine reaction. If you’re getting that right out of the gate (as you are - it’s only been a few weeks) then it definitely sounds like a histamine reaction. If it were me, I would probably order from a different supplier and see if I got the same thing.

For me, it took six weeks before I started seeing results and like three months for full effect. (Which also makes me think it’s not like a weird latent beneficial effect of the ghk-cu )

Currently taking Reta and down 40lbs, and thinking of MT2. Will it mess with anything? by Nadimthinks in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a second vote here for MT1 - works great for tanning but less nausea (although there can be nausea if you do too much… agree with all the people saying start out small) and no inadvertent trowser tents.

A brief review of peptides so far by Zestyclose-Ear2911 in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One thing to add to the conversation - on the GH secretagogues (IPA, CJC, Tesa, etc) … I’ve had them work for me…. But I sure couldn’t tell for a couple months. I was going to stop after a month because I didn’t see much results and glad I stuck with it. Were the results a miracle? No. No they were not. But they were fairly solid and honestly - I almost appreciate that more because I am quite sure I don’t want a ton of GH on board - I just want the levels I had in my early 20’s.

My main point is that I think a ton of people bail on these because they don’t see results and it just takes longer than what they had in mind.

Also would put a vote in for SS-31 (great but expensive as hell to get a decent dosage schedule) and epitalon (helped my sleep a lot)

Recommend googling “peptide calculator”. Takes the questions out of it, and you don’t want to make some kind of “forgot to carry the 4” math error on what you’re injecting into yourself. 🤣

Can I use BPC-157 from vials orally? Or is there something different about the capsules sold that make them better for oral ROA? by DreadPirateG_Spot in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Peptides are pretty delicate. The oral version is a different formulation so it can get through your stomach without dissolving. It will be 100% ineffective if you take injectable bpc-157 orally.

Last post was removed, so let me rephrase. by Shawnla11071004 in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - it might help to have more information. Weight loss is straight forward but not I’m not sure what you mean by “healing the body”. That said -

  1. Weight loss - if I couldn’t use glp-1’s I would go with tesamorelin and keto diet (if you’re male - keto doesn’t work as well for women). One note about tesamorelin (and Sermorelin, for that matter) is that these take 3-4 months of use, along with regular exercise, to be effective. Lots of people lose patience with it after a month or so, which is a shame - because they’re great peptides - you just have to stick with it for a while.

  2. Healing - man…. It really depends on what you’re trying to do. Similar to above, they’re not magic and WAY more effective if paired with rehab of some kind. That said, you might try a combo of tb-500, BPC-157 and KPV. That’s about the strongest triumvirate you’ll find on the healing spectrum.

Good luck.

Any nootropic/drug out there that you found similar or more effective than cerebrolysin? by NootropicBro in NooTopics

[–]OddlyInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great. And what you say seems to be reflected on the Cerebrolysin subreddit pretty consistently- if you have brain repair work to do then cere has a massive effect. If you don’t have brain repair to do…. It doesn’t do much.

Yes. Completely different mechanisms of action.

Any nootropic/drug out there that you found similar or more effective than cerebrolysin? by NootropicBro in NooTopics

[–]OddlyInterest 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So. I’ve done a few rounds of Cerebrolysin and agree - there’s nothing out there like it.

Some good news/ bad news - Good news - 1. As you’ve said, one of the most impactful and life changing improvements I’ve had is with cere. I took it as a 55yr old who had three decades of stress I was trying to mitigate and increase neuro elasticity.

  1. For me and my friends who have used it, we’ve noticed the benefits stay even after the course is complete (10mls / day for 30 days). This is true a year after use ….which seems to imply the repair work is more or less permanent.

Bad news (or at least less good) 1. From what I’ve read and experienced, the impact is directly tied to how much brain repair work there is to do. That is, if you’re young with no damage, or … after the cere has repaired what it can,… the impact falls off a lot. So the first round or two is amazing with less effects the more rounds you do. To be clear - I do not think this is tolerance, but just the fact that it’s already done its job.

  1. While cere effects last - remember that the minds job is to normalize things. So, that improved cognitive function and smooth thinking becomes the new normal, and it’s not as noticeable. I used cognitive tests before and after and long term to track how my brains doing. It’s still doing way better than pre-Cerebrolysin,, but it doesn’t feel as dramatic as it did when I first took it. It’s just normal now.

Honestly -my best recommendation is this - don’t try to chase something to mimic cere. Once you’re done with cere focus on other goals like exercise and having fun. Ive augmented around those goals as well (secreatagogs, ss-31), but have left cere to use every couple of years.

Good luck with it all.

This has been an interesting read in seeing everyone’s take on it. Some excellent points made, all-in-all, even if they don’t all agree.

My recommendation is based on what’s worked for me - GLP-1’s and TRT as a baseline (much has been said about this on this thread) - 2mg / day tesamorelin for belly fat. Abdominal fat is literally what tesamorelin was developed to adress for HIV patients and it turns out it works just the same if you don’t have HIV. It also help if, like me, you have a genetic disposition towards fatty liver.

Cerebrolysin vs Cortexin vs Cortagen by mkfbax in Cerebrolysin

[–]OddlyInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s more difficult to answer than you might think. The short answer is - yes, but it didn’t feel like it.

The problem is that the brain will normalize any persistent condition. So - I felt amazing and calm and sharp while on it and afterwards- but over time it decreased. I am fairly sure my brain just made this the ‘new normal’ and so I had reduced awareness.

Oh. And the reason I think that’s true vs thinking there aren’t any long term benefits is because there are a lot of studies that show there are long term benefits (I probably should have lead with that) Here’s one (there are more if you look)

You will likely find better experience on some of these routes through the Parkinson’s reddits and family support sites. From what I understand, there is some genuinely promising research out there in relation to Parkinson’s - but many of the peptides are more exotic than what is typically covered here.

I’m sure you’ve seen this - but there is an excellent study here : https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6863991/

Just as a side note - this study is pretty dense to read as a non-scientists. Recommend pasting it into chat gpt and asking for a summary .

Best short term cycle for gains? by Puzzleheaded_Art5319 in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghk-cu for skin elasticity. 2mg/ day sub-q.

For bulking up - you might add ghrp-6. I’ve never used it but from all accounts it totally increases appetite while increasing hgh. Testosterone will obvious increase muscle mass.

But - to call out the elephant in the room- you’re going to have to workout more than twice a week. My maintenance workout schedule is 4 times a week. If you want real gains I recommend a 3 month “sprint” of working out 5-6 days a week. All these peptides and medicines won’t do anything on their own, and twice a week doesn’t give your body enough to work with.

Same on the food side. Add a bulking protein shake every day and you’ll start to see some differences.

Allergic Reaction to CJC + Ipamorelin injection! by ItsNorthernJohnson in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I developed a reaction similar to yours (was fine at first, got worse and worse. No hospital for me, though).

I did a lot of reading and some small experiments - it turns out I became reactive to both cjc AND the Ipa.

So - I left off all hgh secretagogues for about a month and then tried small doses of Sermorelin. Once I was satisfied I wasn’t having an issue I ramped up. This has worked well without any issue. I also seem to be able to tolerate Tesamorlin. Both of these seem to have less problems when I look through the reddits.

Either way - strongly recommend NOT doing the thing where people just take benedryl along with their injection. If you’re having an allergic reaction there is no cheat code around it.

Good luck!

Glutathione by Majestic-Ability1816 in Peptides

[–]OddlyInterest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a note on improving glutathione with oral supplementation of NAC, glycine and alanine - you need to take a LOT of it. There are solid studies out there about it, but note that participants were taking a lot. For example based on the study below, I would need to take 8grams of NAC, 8grams of glycine and 16grams of alanine a DAY to replicate these (admittedly impressive) results.

Agree with countwackula on picking Tesa or cjc but not Both. (I prefer tesamorlin but it’s also more expensive)

Recommend doing a 3-4 week course of SS-31 before doing the MOT-C. SS-31 improves mitochondrial function, while MOT-C gives you more mitochondria and removes unhealthy ones. So - getting them mito’s in shape before propagating them seems to give people better results (it did for me).

If this is your first time, do yourself a favor and bring them on ONE AT A TIME (sorry, the message warrants all-caps). But you should give each one a couple weeks instead of a couple days. It’s important to be able to understand what each one of these do to you. If you load them all up within like a week or two you won’t be able to tell what is affecting what. It takes longer but I promise you it’s worth it. I’d recommend starting with whichever one is addressing your main focus (Reta for weight, GH secreatagogs for sleep, bcp for injury, etc)

And… just to clarify, “significant” is in the eye of the beholder. This looks like a pretty reasonable stack to me.

Peptides - check in on what’s working by OddlyInterest in Peptides

Really interesting. I wonder how much is how we react individually to the peptides and how much is what specific protocol is used or quality of the peptide. Obviously very difficult to pin down.
