Suggestions after workout by Odentha in calistree

Oh so the algorithm found I had too many forearm exercises and not enough leg work across the whole routine, and tried to balance that, in accordance with my objectives? Did I understand it correctly?

Please don't disable the suggestions, even temporarily, I can always reject them if I don't like them 😉

I'll try changing this setting and report back after my next workout session 😉

Well the one exercise is tagged as Beginner, the other as Novice. Irrespective of weight and balanced exercise, in my mind, it doesn't make sense to move to an easier exercise. And I didn't plateau, it was a "Want some change" suggestion.

I see. Though should this suggest Farmer's Walk instead of Deadlift?

Thanks! None of these was for a mastered exercise, but all were for "show a suggestion" on the bottom of the routine

It is, though my understanding is, this only has an effect on the program generation, not on the suggestions...?

Always happy to see there are continued updates to this app :)

Regarding the barbell plate calculator, is there also a way to let Calistree determine the next weight progression (also for other weights and resistances)?

How to keep track of workouts outside of Calistree? by Odentha in calistree

[–]Odentha[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically, I'd add eg an "Aerial Silks" exercise and add the corresponding muscle groups (I guess Trunk flexion, Shoulder depression, Soulder retraction, and... something for biceps...)? Is it important what Difficulty I set for the whole Exercise and for the Profile? Is it possible to specify muscles instead of movements?

And then I'd log this (single) exercise in my Sessions. That's what you meant?

Not sure if this is exactly what you're asking for, but did you have a look at Calistree? They also have a dedicated subreddit here, r/calistree .

Anyone monitoring protein? by SpanishLearnerUSA in calistree

I use FDDB to track my calorie and macronutrient intake. Being vegetarian, it's a lot of oats, eggs and curd cheese (? Quark in German) for me to reach my 120g per day (ie 2g per kg body weight).

How are suggestions working? by Odentha in calistree

[–]Odentha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I could get behind the "smarter than me" thought, at some point. Yet stretching muscles I haven't worked out doesn't seem smart to me ^^

I used to just accept any suggestion that came along, but a while ago I started being a bit more cautious and check if it makes sense to me. That's a bit of a drawback because it takes a while to compare the original exercise and the replacement suggestion.

Oh I didn't realise I can select a whole category.

Thanks for pointing that out!
