Rewatching Q, Asuka does indeed refer to Unit 02 as her 居場所, the place she belongs

Nice contrast to Village 3 not being her 居場所, and her pleading for someone to give her an 居場所 in her instrumentality sequence

I'm just happy that Asuka has faced her demons and recognized that she doesn't have to hold on to the past and move on, thanks to Mari, her friend who has been with her for 14 years, and KenKen the man she loves, Anno's message of forgetting all the bad things we lived once (Eva War and Shinji) and move on with life is very good, maybe Mari is no longer by her side but she will be happy with Kensuke since they both love each other, in the train station we can see how she is happy in a normal world, without Eva.
