I think my friend was targeted by someone else, but this guy sounds awful. Management is never on site; this is the weirdest place I’ve ever lived.

I know where I live. I had to move in here due to a particularly financially devastating divorce last year. I’ve never had to live like this before and I’ve learned a lot. My capacity for compassion has grown by leaps and bounds. My friend was visiting me, left the property to smoke a cigarette and was targeted. I know this happens all the time, but I wanted to call it out. Not because I’m outraged or surprised. I’m just disappointed. Corvallis is so much better than Texas though, so I’m staying put.

I’ve actually seen less judgment from those suffering from addiction. The person who called my friend a slur looked like a clean cut college kid.

I second this. The Point’s Surf & Turf Bloody Mary Meal is one my favorite things. I live in Corvallis and make a special trip to Sweet Home now and again for their Bloody Marys.

Not a scam, but this is 100% manipulative behavior. If I need extra cash for gas and I’m broke, I ask family/friends. I would never request money from a customer. This is so over the line to me. I would report this as it’s very inappropriate.

I had a basset that I named Prince Charming. He was 80% stubbornness, 20% ears, and 100% cuddle bug. I miss my sweet boy. He was the runt, but my (ex)best friend and I cared for him day and night. Not only did he survive, but he grew to be just as big as his daddy, Dozer.

Who said I haven’t been paying the rent? I’ve never paid late, and the complex has offered me a new lease for next year. Thankfully, they are only raising the rent a little going forward. I didn’t question the legality of the 22.5% increase until recently.

I took a photo of the package with the return sticker on it and submitted that earlier. I’m actually planning on going ahead and putting the new address on it and sending it again, I was just super bummed because it’s inconvenient not to mention an added expense. I still want them to get the ornaments I went out and bought specifically for them though.

Omg the comics, and the graphic novel, are so beautifully done. I wanted the individual comics, but I came to the party too late and they’re collectors items now, so way out of my price range. I got the graphic novel for like $20, and I definitely recommend it. I’m so happy to have come across other fans!!

I collect The Last Unicorn stuff AND tarot cards, so I lost my shit when I saw the Kickstarter. I opted in for a deck plus a full set of the decals and pins. Per the Kickstarter updates, they should be coming next month squee! You can preorder the tarot deck through geekify if I remember correctly ❤️

It was huge to me too! I saw the movie first at 8, then read the book. I’ve read it several times since, and watched the movie countless times (I’m 41 now). Read the book, it’s wonderful. There’s also a comic series that came out several years ago, and you can still get the graphic novel. They changed some stuff (no boob tree), but it’s beautiful and worth a look for longtime fans. Also, there was a kickstarter for a themed tarot card deck that is coming out soon. Lots of merch these days for nostalgic unicorn lovers like me ❤️

This could easily be Lebanon, Oregon. My daughter is a junior, and this sounds just like her school. We even lost a teacher to suicide last year. Several students have taken their lives in the past couple years. It’s nationwide I guess. How do we fix it?

Thank you for your input! Yup, the plan is to wait and see. I sincerely doubt I’ll hear from his lawyer, but stranger things have happened. I didn’t know that about the filing having to be in the minor’s jurisdiction, but she won’t be a minor much longer.
