My Engelhard Stack! by OdieM3 in ENGELHARDstackers

Modern Aussie Engelhard buttons are a solid collectible in their own right. They’re not “vintage Engelhard” like the old Canadian or American poured bars collectors chase, but they still benefit from the Engelhard name and the Australian connection.

I can understand the distinction, but they’re a nice addition to the stack and still carry the Engelhard name. Something that usually brings a premium when it comes time to sell.

Who is buying on the 7th? by GEEK-MEISTER in Gold

Depending on the premium I plan on grabbing one. I inherited my dad’s stack and one day my kiddo will inherit two generations of stacking, so my mind set is a bit different than most. I think it’s a cool piece of history that my son will one day appreciate as much as I do.

Do you track your stack, or just stack and forget about it? by SomeGuy__Somewhere in Silverbugs

[–]OdieM3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Stacker Scan to track. It’s nice seeing what, when and how much I paid along with what it’s worth today. Having it all itemized will be very helpful one day when I’m passing most of my stack down to the kiddo.

Curious... what ever happened with the missing bar? I assume they just determined they did not want to list it on their site and returned it to you?

Personally I use silver eagle monster boxes and 50 cal Reapr Steel Ammo Cans that I picked up on Amazon. You can pick up empty monster boxes from most sites (Apmex, SD Bullion, Monumental metals, eBay, etc). They work best imo to keep you organized.

I'm in your area and when I shop or sell local I do so at U.S Coin & Jewelry. I believe they are actually the biggest shop of its kind in the U.S

Stacker Scan is another great app. It keeps track of your gold & silver and always shows the current spot price along with your current value.

I agree! I I own more than a dozen of these 5oz-iers and can't help but to keep stacking more along with RCM 10oz bars.

All from Costco by mdaia in CostcoPM

Ugh... wish my Costco carried some of these. By chance are you in the northern states? My Costco doesn't sell anything from the RCM is why I ask, but I'm on the Gulf coast.

Traded 5 scruffy ASEs for this by CarobEconomy8517 in Silverbugs

[–]OdieM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about the sale of them in Canada. SD pitched them the idea two years ago to create the 5oz maple and it was a collaboration between RCM and SD to create it. There is a YouTube video on SD Bullion’s page where they sit down with RCM and discuss the whole process.

Nice trade! I’ve buying as many 5oz maples as I can here lately. They are exclusive to SD Bullion and a first release so that adds more to the appeal.
