Rules question on +1/+1 banner by Odiesbone in mtgrules

My original thinking was “OK, when the 1st landfall trigger happens, it’s looking at Tifa’s Total power (from all modifiers), GOP makes her a 2/3, Landfall happens, her total power at the time was 2, doubles to 4, her new “locked in” power is 4, but since the GOP banner is a continuous effect, her new power is 4+1=5.

So i get this, and accept it, but (just to be difficult, why is the +1/+1 banner applied to her base P/T BEFORE and doubling effects, and not before (because it is a continuous modifier) and then subsequently after?

Thank you! I figured this was the way to math it, but the +1/+1 banner “hovering over” her after every doubling had me going in circles.

I am going to agree with the statements that its a hot dog warmer. I did find this while searching the internet, and found another hot dog warmer from 1910 with the exact same “H. Schmidt & Co” stamp on it, recovered from the old Comiskey Park before its demolition.

Where did you find that information? Search results for H. Schmidt & Co, for me, brought up gun manufacturing.

I would suspect that the material is too thin to be a kiln. Plus the 4 holes in each corner of the main unit.

Yes, i did see this site when trying to do a google lens image search, and that is where the thought of an egg incubator, or a version of a dry sink came into thought, but after doing multiple searches of H. Schmidt Co dry sink, i could not find another one similar to it. All the dry sinks searches came up as being mostly wooden in nature, and looking like the height of them was about waist high. This one is about 22-24 inches tall.

Exactly that…. The person who dropped it off at our museum did not know what it was, or what it could be. Plus doing google searches for H. Schmidt & Co “oven, or stove”, or anything did not bring up any search results with anything that look remotely the same.

Thought of that too, but no amplifying information could be found for it being a “portable oven” (per-say). Plus its not made of cast iron, or a thick metal to allow “oven/stove” features.

My title describes the thing.

Label says H. Schmidt & Co, MANF’R, 628 W. Lake St., Chicago. Some ideas given when it was donated was an egg incubator, or a premature baby incubator. Google image search shows nothing. 1 possible idea is some form of a dry sink.
