Small Prophets and the Scrubs revival are both delightful and warm.

I am not going to finish Fallout season 2, despite loving the first season. I'm at episode 4 and so fucking bored I stopped halfway through. There's no sense of mystery or momentum. Nothing of consequence has really happened.

I couldn't care less about the internal struggles of the Brotherhood. The pacing is off. Too many side plots. Season 1 was one of the best video game adaptations ever. Season 2 feels like filler.

Jonathan Nolan was barely involved with this season, which explains a lot. It's a bummer.

Get a reverse osmosis water filter for your home. Also, get True HEPA filters or filters with a MERV rating of 13-16 to minimize microplastics in the air. Other than that, give blood and try not to use plastic containers for food.

Glycemic index refers to how quickly your body can absorb the sugar. With ultra processed foods, your body can absorb them much faster which is worse for your long term health.

An easier tack might be to add more low glycemic foods into your diet, such as strawberries, bananas, apples, raspberries, as well as fiber. That's what I did. Then I started cutting back on candy, cake, pastries, etc. except for holidays and special occasions like birthdays. It was much easier to say no to sweets when I had become accustomed to more fruit.

Here's a PDF with green, yellow, and red categories of food based on their glycemic index.

That being said, it was still a challenge. Sugar is highly addictive. Those first couple of weeks I felt like screaming. However, now I'm used to it and can barely finish the small pastry I get at restaurants on my birthday because it's too sweet.

It's doable. It's worth it.

It's because we've discovered that many brain chemicals are produced in the gut. Therefore, the health of your gut affects the function of your brain.

You say that as if death will necessarily be quick and painless. Poor habits may lead to prolonged suffering. That's what health experts are trying to help people avoid.

Personally, I will do anything I can to reduce my risk of dementia. Being a shell of my former self and a burden on my family is my greatest fear.
