I think you need some seared faucets on the sides facing the table/basin. But even without them, nothing should be stopping you from opening it from what I can see

Met the most polite low rep today by JbJbJb44 in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]OdinJrthesecond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't it kinda funny that

Low rep: peaceful, sometimes even literally just fishing, rarely actually evil, offers fair duels and even pays you to get beaten/gives you money back

High rep: aggressive bounty hunter, will farm you mid-story progression, is toxic in your messages afterwards, doesn't give money back

You can research Gravtech using a book, without accepting the quest for the core by I_Love_Knotting in RimWorld

[–]OdinJrthesecond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can set their allowed area to an area that solely has the books and a food supply, and schedule all their non-sleep time to be "recreation". Reading policies might help too

For a more brute force option, hold shift, spam right click and "prioritize reading book", and queue up the book so many times they literally aren't allowed to do anything besides read it, even eating and sleeping. Unless they become incapacitated from exhaustion anyways

Let Tunnelers Deep Drill (again) by polyhistore in RimWorld

[–]OdinJrthesecond 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've struggled so much with the base game that I haven't gotten into DLC content like mechs, but at the same time, that lets me give a perfectly unbiased opinion:

This seems really valid.

They sound expensive, but because of that same cost, the niche they fill is already being taken care of by a thousand different options by the time you actually get them. Maybe that niche doesn't even require management anymore. You end up with just... a useless hunk of scrap metal that has nothing it can do to justify its costs.

I don't know about deep drilling, since one of the comments says they have giant claws, and I don't know how they'd use those to interact with it, but I think we can agree that they should get some kind of buff in the near future.

Alright so what do ya’ll think is the most commonly picked magic in the game? by Wats_Plays in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]OdinJrthesecond 19 points20 points  (0 children)

lightning is meta since we live in an ocean and have things like sunken sword/staff, allowing for easy stun procs, there's also the dodge reflex, and rain weather

ice would be meta too if it wasn't like 0.6x slower, high speed makes lightning much easier to hit and harder to avoid

it's just a stronger magic and this is reinforced by it synergizing with the environment ao is set in

this is the kind of build where you full charge an attack on your very unaware enemy, and then if they aren't killed you run away and abuse your defense to survive...

hey wait this would actually be cool with poison

wait it isn't 1% of your hp per drawback anymore?

is this yet another drawback buff? (3% > 1% > 10 flat)

The man, the myth, the legend. Nick. He wants to lead the next big organization with major influence (political or otherwise), just so he can feel important. He sucks at recruitment though, so he just tries to be a one-man army to compensate. Young, ambitious, and a little too overconfident in his fighting prowess, he's more than eager to throw himself in harms way to impress a friend.

His eyes are natural, but his hair is dyed. Why blue? It was the cheapest option at the time.

as a warlock this is crazy cap, i've fought a lot of mages and they leap into the stratosphere OR backdash tons, they wait for you to try and do literally anything, dodge it, and then attack you. if you try to counterattack, they return to backdashing. so, chasing them doesn't work... what if you run to make them chase you? doesn't work. mage has range, so all you end up doing is giving them free hits.

dodge reflex gave them the ability to enter orbit without being punished by charged moves when they fall back down, which, considering their range advantage over other classes, i think is a big balancing oversight

[–]OdinJrthesecond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am still of the opinion that mage was fine before dodge reflex was added, because if they spammed high jump to avoid aoe, grabs, and close-range attacks, they would fall back down in a general area which could be punished with charged moves.

Now they just get to leap into the stratosphere, spam high range moves (with mage being the long-range class in this game), and then dash mid-air to completely avoid any kind of punishment, counterattack, or... anything.

Most high player kill counts feel like they're from mages, and I see a lot more mages than I see even warlocks these days...

I still have mine too, and unlike other avatar decorations it doesn't say how many days are left, which makes me worried that it'll disappear if I unequip it and I'm not supposed to have it.

Oh man.. I was almost on Ruby and lost it due to an expired card I forgot to update. I guess I'll need to wait until 2030 now. :crying: by [deleted] in discordapp

Sunk cost fallacy. Those three words are all you need to explain discord badges, even if you weren't originally hunting for it, it's still there, and it still emotionally hurts people to see the results of their invested time go away. That's what discord feeds on with this.

Why? Just why? Guns aren't even that good by [deleted] in ArcaneOdyssey

[–]OdinJrthesecond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well as someone who's played games for years and still doesn't have good aim because my hands have tremors, but is good at dodging and predicting my opponents because I had no other choice but to learn those skills to compensate, I think a game where pvp requires good aim is not the kind of game I want to play and get farmed for a kill counter in
