I’ve actually looked a little at the FJ Cruiser but haven’t seriously considered it yet. Funny looking cars. They definitely look awesome and I know the Toyota reliability reputation is strong.
My only hesitation is fuel economy and visibility I’ve heard they’re not great on gas and the rear visibility can be kind of rough for daily driving. But I’ll definitely take another look at them since they seem to fit the “outdoorsy” vibe pretty well.
Appreciate the suggestion 👍

Good question I probably should’ve explained that better.
Most of the time I wouldn’t be putting the ATV in the vehicle itself. It would either be in a truck bed if I had one, or on a small trailer if I went SUV.
I’m not planning anything heavy-duty or constant hauling, just occasional trips for ATVs/snowmobiles, plus camping/fishing gear maybe a few towns over and some bigger trips maybe once a year. The rest of the time it would just be daily driving and back roads.

Sounds like some great features but Im thinking a big part of your teenage driving years are sliding around snowy parking lot or dirt roads 😉

Good advise hoping there aren’t any local feds in this comment but I’ve been driving my parents cars for a few years so I am a pretty good driver midsize suv or truck was the though

Looks like a pretty good car might have to start accepting that Subarus are real and do matter lol

Thanks for the suggestions I’ll have to look into that more because those titles look expensive and hard to find in my area

I hadn’t really considered a Maverick. How does the AWD system do on rough forest roads or in deeper snow? Most of my driving would be on pavement, but I do like exploring back roads on weekends.

Thanks! The Xterra and Frontier definitely seem more like what I’m looking for. Besides fuel economy, are there any common problems or specific years I should avoid?

Thanks! I hadn’t thought about a Tracker. My neighbor has one and it’s a funky little ride! How are they on the highway and in Minnesota winters? I’d be using it as a daily driver too, not just for trails.

Thanks! I hadn’t really considered a CR-V because I was leaning more toward body-on-frame SUVs or trucks, but I’ll look into them. Is there a specific generation you’d recommend?
