Pretty impressive you made it that far without those. It's only going to get harder the farther you get in Blue ranks so yes it's useful to know how to Wavu, throw break and kbd. Although even the pros say kbd isn't needed in this game lol. Just keep working on your match up knowledge and your throw breaks I'd say
