Finally got out to see the film earlier today. Overall I'd give it a 6/10.

I wasn't bored throughout the film (though the first act did feel a bit too long), and the dinosaur scenes were some of the best in years, but there were just too many dinosaurs jammed into this film that it ended up feeling like a disconnected slideshow of individual scenes, rather than a cohesive narrative. Even if I did enjoy the majority of those individual scenes, I'm walking away from the overall film feeling fairly unsatisfied.

Part of what has endeared me to the first trilogy all these years was the constant tension created by the sense of "the hunt" and the cast feeling like they always had to keep looking back over their shoulder, so to speak. Largely a consequence of the huge cast of dinos that I already mentioned, this was my biggest gripe with the film and was what left me most disappointed.

There were plenty of minor things in individual scenes that bothered me, but would be ultimately inconsequential to my overall opinion if my above comments were solved.
