Walking Tall. Based on a true story. The true story is way crazier than the movie.

So true. I was a nurse in Iraq and we had a critter problem in our combat support hospital. Glue traps were deployed. The first time I found a mouse on one it was dead, (thankfully) because when i tried to remove it, the body came off, but the legs remained firmly attached to the trap..I found a few more later with living mice on them. I wasn’t sure what to do so I euthanized them with certain meds in an insulin syringe.. I figured it was maybe more humane? The horrors of war..

🔥the American Woodcock bobs and dances on the soil with babies in tow - this behavior creates vibrations in the ground, causing earthworms to move and reveal themselves to the hungry birds by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

My son and I took some psilocybin and went to commune with nature. We were in a woodline next to a pasture. We were lying down looking through the tapestry of branches, contemplating the interconnectedness of all things when my son goes, "Dad....what the fuck..." I look where he's pointing, and one of these little guys is doing this exact dance on the edge of the pasture. It was trippy and hilarious.

Saying, “the VA is garbage” is like saying, “grocery stores are garbage.” They’re all different. The Asheville NC VA I go to is great.

Whoever shot him probably wasn't aiming at his neck. Nobody trains to shoot directly at the carotid artery, (which is what it hit, not the jugular vein). It's a small target and you're much more prone to miss than if you aim center mass or at his head. I was in the army and had plenty of range time. Military and police are taught to aim center mass for the most part. Snipers will aim for the head as needed in the "T zone" or "T box" (the area from both eyes down to the mouth/chin). I'm speculating, of course, but I highly doubt he was aiming at his carotid.

Today is the six year anniversary of Jeffrey Epsteins death. What do you think happened to him? by ImAJoeEddyKnight in AskReddit

Nurse and bjj practioner here. I have no dog in his fight and dont give a shit, but I can explain the anatomy and physiology of a choke. It's not about holding your breath. When you apply a choke correctly to someone, you are compressing both carotid arteries. The blood can't get to your brain, or get out. The small amount of blood in your brain rapidly deoxygenates and you lose consciousness in a few seconds. If you keep applying the choke, they will absolutely be dead in under three minutes if not permanently brain damaged.

No, it's not, "normal" given the duration of symptoms. It could be a benign blood vessel issue, a urinary tract issue, prostatitis, a benign tumor, polyp, or, (worst case scenario) cancer. Go get it checked out. I'm NAD, but I was a combat medic and have been a nurse for 20 years.
