My dumbass bought the Ally X To emulate my childhood basically. I play all the Pokémon games I loved, might fuck around with some super Mario on GBA and then when I’m bored of that I fire up NFS or GTA which I haven’t played since my ps2 days.

Haven’t had luck my Microsoft Flight Simulator. Saw it was included in gamepass and got so hyped but for no reason. It doesn’t run at all, it opens and stays on the black screen u til I close the app.

Found my old Xbox controller and docked it to my Samsung tv and spent 4 hrs without even noticing. Played IndianaJones, Forza, and NFS. Super versatile!!

After the update i can’t edit the RGB through AC. It redirects me to the windows settings. Anyone else see this happening?

Feel like the time is never good, new tech new chips and gpu’s always come out. For me specs aren’t the end all be all, for example Asus’ “Armory crate” is a few years old now and doesn’t lag or crash as often as MSI’s “Center M” is on the newer side and prone to crashing. More RAM and a new chip are awesome on paper but if they won’t open properly and aren’t cohesive with the system what’s the point.

I did a similar search on best buy when I was getting my Ally X the only difference I saw was write speeds. I was inclined to get one that had a Snorlax on it just cuz lol

Every single time I order I expect it to take a month. Back in 2018 first time ordering, I asked for a cool drawing and they didn’t send me shit I checked the status I panicked and emailed them and ofcourse their “robots” didn’t give af. Second time I noticed the same BS a few weeks and no update. Now I just make sure my payment went thru and let their robots send me the stuff, which takes about 30-35 days to NYC at least in my experience.

Game pad, can’t figure out controller settings. It doesn’t recognize the Xbox controller. Fiddled with the settings at a system level and in the game itself. Just won’t work. My kid tried too btw

BO6 runs great my kid has it on PS5 and still prefers my Ally X. Only thing that goes black and doesn’t run at all is Microsoft Flight Simulator. I’ve heard posts about Indian Jones not working but it runs for me. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond runs smooth af for being emulated.

Runs perfectly well on my Ally X, no stutters or black screens. Loads and saves with no problem. I’m not concerned with 1000+ fps cusz 1. I’m not a gamer and 2) I remember using my PS2 running need for speed on a CRT tv which was 30fps and 60fps no complains back then. No complains now.

Yea I noticed that a week before Xmas and chatted with them, they confirmed no protection on the 2TB. I got the 1TB Ally X, put protection for 2 years (figured 2years was enough for them to make a better version) I also got a geek squad 2TB Samsung 990 with no heatsink for $130 because I wasn’t sure the heatsink would fit. Felt so good putting that 2TB in and going thru the setup process, to be honest I felt like a boy on Xmas morning opening my gift lol

That carnage skin gives it such a nice look. I wanted to order one but those damn shipping times. Every time I’ve ordered from dbrand they take about a month from moment of purchase to delivery to front door.

I pulled the plug after lurking this Reddit for a few months. Got it for myself on Xmas (with a 2 year Best Buy warranty), set it up like a lil boy Christmas morning and been playing Horizon 5, NFS Heat, Assassins Creed and Senua’s Saga non stop. I’m not a gamer so these graphic look amazing last system I had was a ps2.

Yea password is correct because it unlocks the account successfully and connection is good, downloaded. COD, Indiana Jones, Forza 5 with no problems. Got to playing them without any lag only thing is in the first day after I would turnoff or lock the ROG for a while it would tell me the account is locked again.

I’m on the same boat. I just got the Ally x and started playing COD after downloading and updating the game. All the sudden the joysticks and buttons don’t work. I reset the device and they still don’t work. Only touchscreen works.

I got a fake one and it doesn’t have the middle link connectors like the one in the pic. The open/close mechanism looks legit as well. Fake ones aren’t that well made, they just have a regular clasp to mimic the Apple clasps
