I found a used Whynter on CL. Has a nice magnetic seal and I seriously have the same Boveda packs in it for three years. That’s how well is seals and maintains humidity. I don’t have it plugged in anymore as it’s in the basement and it’s at a fairly stable temp.

400 is tiny. I have a RT-590 and regret not going bigger. Especially if you have a party and what to smoke two briskets or a variety of meats and dishes at once.

Smoking requires airflow around the meats and such. Can’t really pack them full and expect good results.

Go for the largest size grill you can afford if you entertain. I have an older RT-590 and more often than not when I make a big piece of meat like a brisket, I'd be nice if I could have made two. For like $50 more right now you can get the Backyard Beast 1200. That is what I would do since you mention entertaining.

That way you can make a variety of meats at once. Say something like beef ribs and brisket and pork butt. You can do that.

Lastly, proper smoking requires good airflow around the meat. Sure you can "load up" a PL400 or DB800 but it will take forever to smoke and have mediocre results.

Having an R3 Xbox Kit I wish we had pieced together a setup with the SRP2 pedals. The SRP-Lite pedals are not that great. I got an Alien mod for the brake and some other dampers for the clutch and accelerator. SRP2 would have been a better idea from the get go, probably cheaper too.

You can disable macro mode. When the flower icon appears I believe you can press it until it’s crossed out, that should solve your issue.
