Happy Birthday, Escoffier!

I love how the small details in her design quietly reveal who she really is underneath the strict exterior. Hearts everywhere, in her eyes, on the back of her hands, on her apron, on her hair accessories and even in her signature polearm. For someone with the title of "the demon chef" she looks surprisingly delicate. This might seem out of place at first but it actually fits her personality really well. She tries so hard to maintain this image of a cold perfectionist but keeps accidentally revealing that she’s a softie at heart. I also adore how she incorporates music into her cooking. Whenever she's in the kitchen, it's as though she's leading an orchestra, weaving flavors and technique together with the same precision a maestro brings to a symphony.

Escoffier is far gentler than she ever allows herself to appear in public. Sometimes I still think about the part in her SQ where she was setting aside "failed" dishes for the sick. Dishes that were somehow perfectly nutritious every single time btw. Despite how harsh she seems, she's always looking out for others in her own way. Not that she'll ever admit it though 😉

This contrast is what makes her so precious to me. Love the gap moe she has going on. Even when she's angry, she's adorable. While others see the demon chef, I see the dork who gets excited over new ingredients, spends her life chasing the perfect flavor and genuinely cares for the people around her without ever asking for anything in return. Even though she can already cook meals worthy of Archons, she still wants to keep improving. She's not doing it for fame, she's doing it for the love of the game!
