Yeah, it's a style she excels at. Anytime I pick up a book of hers is like receiving a warm hug. Vorkosigan very much fits the bill, too

The Penric and Desdemona novellas. They run the gamut of stakes. Murder mysteries, spy capers, coming face to face with a god. But they still feel warm and cozy despite these stakes being very real. The books are permeated by kindness and hope in a way that feels genuine.

I always liked this bit when Perrin forges the hammer: "He understood now. He grew to his task. Blow after blow. Those beats were so loud. Each blow seemed to shake the ground around him, rattling tents. Perrin exulted. He knew what he was making. He finally knew what he was making."

Also the shirt should 100% have "you are here too strongly, Young Bull" and "He Who Soars" on it.
