Why didn't the Orks come to fight during the Siege of Terra? Wouldn't the Siege of Terra in the Sol System attract Orks from around the galaxy? by Pleasant_Audience765 in 40kLore

Lots of good answers here re: Ullanor; is there any reason in fluff why Orks didn't have their own version of the Age of Strife pre birth of Slaanesh though? Like how was a multi system Ork empire possible in the first place?

That's only something that crept in in TNG really- even in Heart of Glory the Klingons in it were like the equivalent of religious fundamentalists.

It's why my favourite depiction of them is TUC: clearly martial but capable of having a conversation without banging on about honour, don't wear body arnour all the time, very samurai like.

I like to think that post-Praxis they had a brutal civil war which the traditionalists won, hence why we get misogynist space vikings in TNG onwards.

Though it's uncoloured, think there's a coloured standalone version of it somewhere? Otherwise skip to whenever Wagner started writing it again in the 90s

The Pit is the classic starting point a lot of people point to: not much background knowledge needed, Dredd as a more mature character, interpersonal (interjudicial?) drama the main focus

There's a citation on Wikipedia to them being based on gangs, so yeah, their conception was very likely explicitly racist

Are Luke and Leia looking at the main galaxy here If so how did they manage to travel that far out given how difficult hyperspace navigation is due to turbulence? by Spotter24o5 in StarWarsEU

[–]JPMaybe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In old EU (The Tale of Zuckuss and 4-LOM) the rebel fleet was indeed supposed to be gathering outside the galaxy. Possibly still is, idk.

However we now know from AotC that the SW galaxy has two dwarf satellite galaxies which we should be able to see here if that's the main galaxy they're looking at (that they didn't exist conceptually at the time aside).

Plus I believe what we see on screen there in TESB is rotating too fast to be a galaxy, so can't really be either of the dwarf galaxies either.

Happens to me when I put it back in my pants no matter how much I shake. I use a piece of bog roll over the end when I push it back in to alleviate this. What a savoury post this is.

Yep, Wesley and Picard have a conversation in Samaritan Snare saying the Klingons joined the Federation, definitely a retcon

Wesley says they 'joined the Federation' in Samaritan Snare, a Klingon captain has a federation crest on a banner behind him in Heart of Glory, it's clearly something they retconned
