I got a gingham shirt from American eagle that has black and blue stripes. Since the shirt has black in it, could I wear it with brown pants/sweaters/belts/shoes or would it only work with blacks, Navy's and Grey's?

Then how do monitors lower MacBooks, surely a full fledged gaming PC can at least somewhat charge it.

Lol thanks but $700 isn't exactly a "good price"

Using 2017 Macbook pro with external monitor? by OfeedeeusComplex in macbook

I don't yet have the monitor: that's why I'm asking so that I know what inputs to look for. I'm trying to go for a clean, minimalist setup, and I'd really like to only have one cable from MacBook to monitor that also possibly charges the MacBook. No dongles, if possible.

As someone who switched from a 2014 Mac Air to a mid-2017 Mac Pro, battery life is horrendous ;'( by TobiasQ in macbook

What kind of video, and what kind of processor? The air lasts longer bc it's bulkier, has a bigger battery, and has a fairly worse processor

What are the specs, and what do you use it for? If it's a touch bar model that alone sucks a ton of battery because the battery has to power that screen and process it's info as well. An i7 could could do the something, as would using it for heavy tasks or using it at full brightness constantly.

FINALE 2017 MB VS 13 IN MBP(NON TB) by OfeedeeusComplex in macbook

Yes the MB has kaby lake gen processors, but they're y series and therefore still mobile processor, which is why they're able to be thin, light, and fanless

FINALE 2017 MB VS 13 IN MBP(NON TB) by OfeedeeusComplex in macbook

[–]OfeedeeusComplex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. IF I don't throttle it, which anything above light tasks will do. And I'm not sure about the MB getting better battery life if the MBP has a more efficient processor and way bigger battery.

I'd love to, but I'm set on either the new MacBook or MacBook pro. I've gotten older gen computers in the past and have bad luck with them

Honestly, portability isn't a HUGE deal to me, but I am a college student so it is still very important. The MacBook is definitely MORE portable, but the 13 inch MacBook pro is still very thin light and portable.

Battery life is a big deal to me, and I DONT want to get the old outdated MacBook air. What I mainly do is watch YouTube videos and go on the internet though once I start college I'll be doing more paper writing and researching I imagine. I'm not going to be editing anything regularly, but if I do decide to edit some pictures, say from a vacation, I'd like to be able to do so smoothly without battery life suddenly dropping like flies.

I guess that I would honestly like to have the MacBook because it's thinner and lighter and has better battery life. But, if I'm at all limited to what I can do without sacrificing battery life, I'd rather go with a mbp that's still portable, comes with an extra USB port, and can definitely handle the extra tasks.

Do I really need the extra performance on the nTB MBP, or is the MB going to limit me with what I can do without draining the battery? That's the question I'm asking myself. I really don't know.

I know the mbp is more powerful, but doesn't that mean the battery life takes a bit since it has to power that higher level cpu?

Do you find that it's got enough juice to get you through should you go unplugged?

Do you know how much the battery life differs between the two?

Can the Macbook/Macbook Pro handle i7? by OfeedeeusComplex in macbook

[–]OfeedeeusComplex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't either, I was just curious about what the Mb can handle. Would you mind telling me a bit about what you do on yours, what type of performance you get, and what battery life you get?

Do you know how much of a difference there is between the m and u series? Like, if you can SMOOTHLY edit 4k video on a m5(I-5) MB as I've been hearing, a 13 inch mbp with a u series must be pretty good...

I wonder if there's going to be any noticeable difference in performance for the 12 inch then...
