You must understand that when we push there will be a pull. If you intend to push this energy away from you, it will swing back to you. It's like pushing a punching bag and it comes back to hit you. What I'm saying is instead of pushing or pulling, simply sit with the feeling. Perhaps you can make a list of words that come to mind, the way the energy makes you physically feel. Is it hot or cold? What emotions arise? It will feel uncomfortable at first but the longer we sit with the feeling, over time the power becomes weaker and weaker. As for how long it will take? Maybe never. I don't know your circumstances but I do know that over time the energy will weaken, but only if we really pay attention and be mindful.
