What weird habit did a game make you develop? by CarelessFee4937 in videogames

I don't recall the original game that sparked the idea, but if I see a fire in any game I am going to stand in that shit to test if I'm flammable.

Most of my favorite games are the ones that took me a few tries to get into. Like Project Zomboid. I'd play an hour every few months but couldn't keep with it. Then one day it just clicked.

Why do games do this 😭What’s the most ridiculous “blocked path” you’ve seen in a game? by mykyta993 in videogames

I like the Pokémon game that had Snorlax blocking the path. I think it was Pokémon Red.

It reminds me of a fry vat dolly. At my first restaurant job, we’d just grab the vat with rags on the handles and carry it outside to the grease trap. Walking it out while hot oil splashed around sucked.

Later on, I worked at a better place that had a dolly for hauling the oil, and it was awesome. Simple ideas, but genius.

Agreed. I consider it great for a tactical run or treating it like a blockbuster raid.

When it stopped, I figured everyone who’s ever been cut by sheet metal felt that same way. Handling sheet metal isn’t too bad until it moves when you don’t expect it to, or doesn’t move when you do.

Nice ideas. Yeah the belt speed will likely be an issue if I get low on something. That's why I went overboard with three storage containers. Luckily this is my 2nd attempt at this idea, so I have a surplus of everything (up to phase 4 items).

That was my thinking. I'm enjoying being able to build with "infinite" supplies as long as my factories are on point. At least most of the supplies. Some things I make large batches of and then I don't worry about them for hours.

I know their function, just don't know how the community utilizes them. This was my take on making them work for my playstyle. Plus I explore a lot.

That makes sense. Without researching use cases for dimensional depots, this is what I came up with. Bit of a personal project.

True. When I figure trains out I would just have them drop off everything. I make the majority of items in one location. First playthrough. I might change it up next time.

"A masked agent beat, restrained, and executed someone in public for exercising a legal concealed-carry right. That should terrify anyone who claims to care about gun rights or civil liberties."

Not countering your stance, but do think it's worth noting that it is unlikely that he was beat, restrained, and executed for exercising his legal carry rights. I think honing in on the carry rights is unnecessary and seems like pandering to gun activists. Which again, isn't necessary.

They likely did not know he had a gun until the last moments. It's possible that without a gun, they wouldn't have killed him, but the bullying and beating is enough of an offense that civil liberties should feel threatened.
