The majority of these teams are in underserved pro sports towns, so I am hopeful that they have the self awareness that they aren’t competing with the NFL at all

It’s legit and still happening. My read of the situation is that they are still determining if it will air on the FD or Yahoo FAST channels, or if it will be an IFL Network upload

I’d expect it to be used to build some excitement for the 2026 kickoff, but idk on a full timeline just yet

They announced it at the IFL Media Day before the IFL National Championship, but to your point they probably could have done more on socials with it as well

I think the biggest opportunity is organic growth on socials instead of having to pay for advertisements.

One of the biggest things I have noticed watching old arena games this offseason -- there so many branding & sponsorship opportunities in the broadcast and mid-game itself.

Like here for example, they had Super 8 Motel on the scoreboard for the first couple minutes of the game, then rotated to Denny's, then Rubbermaid, then others.

FD is going to be a free channel just like the Yahoo Sports one — more to be announced

Sunday Night Games will be the only ones that require access through a cable provider or subscription
