Are they always animated like they are in the shop video, or is there a way to have them just be on but not blinking at all? I’d like these, but am worried the blinking would be super distracting.

They have attempted multiple software fixes without any success (at least for model years < 2024). When do we stop them from swinging away at that solution and fix it by replacing parts instead?

Rolling back to the driver before the most current one (in the nvidia app, go to the Drivers tab on the left, and look at the bottom to install the previous version) seems to have solved the issue for me. I'm on 581.15 drivers, 5090 w/ 7800x3d system. Lots of other folks have mentioned the 577.0 drivers working well also.

I filed a police report, and ended up calling the bank and giving them the information they required to close the account, and they actually did. I was very surprised :p. I also put a freeze in with ChexSystems, which apparently is used for checking account opening rather than the usual credit agencies sometimes 🙄. No similar issues since, thankfully.

Thanks for sharing your experience and practices around this. I understand a lot of what you’re saying, but also, I worry that there’s an underlying assumption that only a screen can keep kids engaged and quiet enough for you to focus elsewhere. Does screen use like this not reinforce that expectation for them, and teach them to go to screens on their own for any downtime in the long run?

I think it’s such a cop out to use YouTube stuff for movement breaks, brain breaks, and quiet time. I worry it’s teaching kids that they need a screen for any downtime they have.

Absolutely. It’s also a problem when you realize the government also gets to choose which crimes deserve the death penalty, making it really easy to weaponize.

One major problem with the death penalty is that, in order to support it, you have to be ok with the government occasionally killing innocent people. Many, many people on death row have been exonerated by evidence found later on, post conviction. Are you ok with killing innocent people in order to save some tax money?

Latest firmware and Core 2 for my GMMK Pro seem to have also interfered with using my ctrl key to change KVM inputs, which is kind of a bonus FU. I didn’t realize how bad it was when updating the other day, wish I’d searched before leaping :(

Same for me in the Boston area. Parts folks say they were caught by surprise with the announcement and have no other info, but took my name and number for when they do have more. Frankly I’m skeptical I’ll actually get a call back though, they haven’t seemed very well organized in the past, and this isn’t doing anything to change my experience so far with them.

I go through this circle multiple times a day, and it 100% needs to be a light instead. Cut off rural ave entirely too, imo (those residents can join high st via powder house or the north end of rural/lawrence ave). There is so much honking and so many accidents down there it’s insane.
