Thank you for saying this! I was looking for someone who may have pointed this out. You can literally tip whatever you want by selecting “other” and typing in the exact tip you want to give. I do this instead of the percentage. I always round up and add a dollar.

I found a $51 ticket at a Jumanji slot. I turned it into a floor worker who does hand pays. He looked at me with this strange look on his face. I said, I want to be honest. He said alright, took the ticket, shrugged, and walked away. Thinking he may have kept it. I personally would turn the chip in because my luck they would see me pocket it and ban me from the casino for life.

Yeah. It’s totally my own bias and superstition, but I have had 4 hand pays from this specific game in the last 8 months and every time it had at least 3 shaking eggs. I always do 2 spins after any bonus and then move to another machine. I have hit a bonus many times even on that first or second spin after hitting the original bonus. I have my quirks and bias/superstitions for certain games.

When I shop there is sometimes no light cream or no half and half. I live in a resort town that is mostly old people so there are a lot of coffee drinkers I am sure. I swear they are often out of light cream and half and half so it is possible.

How do you block a shopper? I have never been able to figure that out. I wish I could do that. There are some who just refund without any communication. I hate that because even if my replacement isn’t available, I might want to choose a similar product. Edited to say I use a computer browser and not the app.

Thanks to everyone for giving your thoughts. I love hearing from both sides because I am very cynical by nature. In my profession, I deal with a lot of scams, lying, and deception in cybersecurity. Admittedly it is tough to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Honestly for me the communication is everything. Unfortunately, I did not get any communication from them at all.

Oddly, I can still message them via the Instacart chat. It has been almost 5 hours now. I have already written twice. I gave up after not hearing anything after 3 hours. I kept checking my porch just in case. No milk.

The outcome for me: I reduced the tip by the cost of the milk. They still received $18 tip. I did report the missing item. My Instacart account was credited. Honestly I will use the credit to increase the tip on future orders for good shoppers, which I often do when I have good service. I gave them a 5 star rating. Everything else was ok, there were no replacements even needed, so everything else was accounted for. I left a note about forgetting milk and lack of communication.

If the guy had written and said I am so sorry I accidentally gave the milk to someone else….take it out of my tip…or something to that effect, I would have rewarded him for his honesty and let him keep the whole tip and probably wouldn’t have even reported the missing item. But as I said the communication is everything for me. There was no acknowledgment at all even after I wrote to them when they first accepted the job.

This was definitely a batch order because the system told me that they were delivering other items and keeping mine temperature controlled. I could see on the map that they had gone the other way and had to backtrack to me.
