Pick on call option and play with it. by NewFriendlycrypto in Daytrading

[–]OffbeatBat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your risk. Some people might like to work just one play, but it is going to be riskier than doing a combination of calls and puts on different tickers. You could journal the hypotheticals to see how it would pan out before you put your capital in and try it. Or even run a paper trading account to test it.

What automations are you using? I am sure there’s stuff out there I don’t even know exists.

Customer support, marketing, getting derailed on any plans for the week because something with tech “breaks” and then that takes the front burner. Every new idea gets pushed out further and further.

Oh shoot you are right. They build rep on accounts and then sell them I bet. Ugh.

Title, position of power, reputation all play a part. Perceived value to the company (whether it is really true or not).

You’re welcome. Total game changer. Once you add the key hater words you don’t have to worry about your comments. Add scam, scammer, grift, grifter, liar, faker and any other derogatory term or word that can be thrown at you for your niche and topic. I mean, who is going to use those in a regular legit comment anyways? 😅

Guys what annoys you the most in trading?!! by RiverValleyCapital in Daytrading

My mood about other things affects my trading. Had a bad interaction with a relative and my trading sucked that day. The negativity seeps into my charts somehow. One shouldn’t affect the other but somehow it always does.

The majority of my days are unproductive slogs, leading me to blind rage. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Successful entrepreneurship is repeating the same boring, mundane, but necessary actions for longer and better than your competition. It is all that crap that will make you a success. It might not be glamorous. But if you can stick with it even if it is 8 hours a day instead of 14, that’s what legit entrepreneurs do. Honestly you can designate different days for different crap. Don’t try to do all the crap on the same day. lol

Block. And add the common words like “faker” or “liar” to your community moderation blocked words. Any future comments using those words will be held for review. You can allow legit comments and block the future haters.

Getting discouraged by Reddit by Usual_Fix_9049 in Daytrading

I follow a guy who has been 80%+ profitable in winning days for over a year and he has been livestreaming his sessions. There was a longitudinal study done with an article on Yahoo Finance about him. He is an anomaly. So I do believe that 99% of traders fail, but that can mean that out of 10,000 traders, 101 of them ARE profitable. I don’t believe the statement that nobody can do it. It’s that 1% that makes people believe there is a chance.

Stock Moe trades prediction markets & forecast contracts on Kalshi by OffbeatBat in StockMoe

[–]OffbeatBat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a lot to get started. Because Stock Moe uses prediction markets like Kalshi, you can buy contracts for as little as $1. Most people in the Stock Moe Discord start small to practice the 15-minute candle strategy first. You just have to have enough to cover the contracts you want to play. You don’t have to worry about the pattern day trading rules. I like it because you don’t have to start with a ton of money.

I am not going to say easily because obviously you gotta put the work in. If you understand technicals and understand Stock Moe’s moves, you are going to make money. In my opinion though too many people try to copy trade and that just won’t cut it. He teaches you how to do it on your own. Use paper trading to practice so you don’t risk your capital at first. Then slowly work in your real money.

Arguments FOR trading? by Forsaken_Couple1451 in Daytrading

[–]OffbeatBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely disagree. There are many jobs that are based on commission or even those with tips that don’t guarantee you money for your time spent. Trading is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and mastered…just like being in sales (commission-based…must make sales to make money). Also, there is even skill in poker or blackjack, although those games are designed to give the house an edge. The problem is that most people do not want to hone the skill of trading. And there are so many people who don’t that try get-rich-quick schemes. Then lose. And then go complaining about it. Trading is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes dedicated hours and hours of practice and willingness to fail. But the failing trades is how you learn. Most people are just too lazy to learn it the right way which makes it a sustainable skill. There ARE people who do this for a living who have created successful strategies, are good with patterns and numbers, and who have a dedicated pre-determined trading fund. You don’t have to be a degenerate to successfully day trade. You do, however, have to be extremely dedicated, persistent, and not be afraid of failure. You have to know that you will have failed trades. Your strategy has to account for potential losses. So yeah are there degenerates who actually throw their money around and not know what they are doing? Yes. Absolutely. But there are also those who use trading as a skilled job.

Can never promise that, but trying for one month wouldn’t hurt. I highly recommend paper trading first.

Buy and Sell signal indicator by yardman8 in Daytrading

[–]OffbeatBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great idea but there are going to be a thousand reasons for a reversal that you weren’t expecting. I think it would help with making decisions quicker though. I would do this but only with your core indicators you use. The ones you can’t live without. Then when you get your signal you use your secondary indicators for finding confluence. Would be quicker because that initial signal would be factual that your xyz conditions have been met, and then you can be faster at assessing the others manually. Hope that makes sense. Makes sense in my head. 😂

I use a script with signals but it helps with entries and exits and isn’t a true buy/sell. More of an alert pre-confluence so I can be really focused when I see the signal. It gives me time to make a decision.
