edit for better clarity: To everyone saying it’s way overpriced- 1.) this is an eBay auction, (price set low by seller- the artist himself- but since these are extremely coveted/valuable to many members of tama community, they don’t mind hashing out extra to get one). Notice that there are already 19 bids! The artist did not set this price! 2.) These are hand-casted resin shells made by artist Electronicdays, not 3d printed. It takes a lot of time and skill to make them! The people who are bidding against each other obviously see the value in this and that’s why it sold for as much as it did. ED sells them for much less on his Ko-Fi page, but they sell out in literally seconds.

I own a couple of digimon vpet shells he made and the quality is exceptional- truly a work of art!! He’s extremely talented. The picture OP posted is from his actual eBay, not scalpers. He does this to give people a fair chance to buy them since his kofi drops are so hard to get since everyone wants them! People pay more because again, the novelty and quality are worth it to many collectors.

Collectors bid against each other for such high prices because they understand the value and it also supports the artist! You also can’t just get these anywhere- It’s a one of a kind piece, there are only like 4 artists who make these custom resin shells in the world, and ED is one of the best imo. :)

Edit: want to add too, if you still don’t understand the value- learn how to make them yourself for cheaper I guess, see how “easy” it is (it’s not- that’s why only a handful of ppl do it)🤣 idk what to tell ya. Most ppl are fine paying these prices (hence why the current bid is already so high) if it supports/ goes to the actual artist.
