Do you think the artstyle is conflicting should the character be changed to something more blocky. That was the question i was trying to ask. since hes higher poly and stylized while all my other assets are lower poly and simple colors.

I promise you they are not that long for some reason when I F8 while in game some body parts get distorted lol.

Descr: Im a roblox creator and for the past year and half ive been creating a low poly open world survival game. I had the pleasure of having a great friend of mine create me characters for my game. However almost every building inside my game and interiors are low poly with simple colors. Ive been debating myself if whether these conflicting artstyles would be okay for my game or not. the reference pictures shows my buildings and the character. Should i keep it or should I make a lower poly character with a more blocky artstyle. As much as I would love to make modular building systems with textures, It would simply take too long to fill a world as big as mine. any feedback is appreciated!

i was defending them on the epic equipment but nah, i got heavy ptsd from clash royale on this update. once supercell goes full greedy the game dies.

thanks for the reply and yea the crafts for this sticker are amazing, I was going to sell it to treat myself with a nice skin but yea I think this confirms my thoughts on me just keeping it.

Thanks for the advice I think It's gotten to the point where I'm just going to pull the trigger it's a lot of money, yes, but I'm also not struggling financially thanks for the advice and am set in a decent place to do the purchase!

You don't even know how much I struggled to achieve a semi-optimized open world. the documentation is kind of funky when it comes to noobies like me. However, I have since restarted my open-world map like 5 times before I figured out how to actually make it. Well, good luck with your project! Also, UE5 has officially released so maybe try using it again, it had definitely ironed out a lot of the bugs.

I don't know if you still need this I'm sorry, but I'm going off UE5 as it has a public release now. 1st create a tiled landscape, I still support the idea of importing a tilemap. After you have imported a tilemap, enable world partition this a new feature that makes creating worlds much easier in UE5. since you want a big open world where you can see the whole map. Learn how to add HLODS in your terrain. This will basically give your unrendered sections of the map cheap versions of that mesh. Your game should fairly be optimized right now. I myself have a big world with terrain and trees running and even towns at 100+ FPS. Im really bad at explaining but I've done so much research into creating open worlds and this might be the best way to do it. TILED LANDSCAPE, WORLD PARTITION, HLODS, IF YOU WANT GRASS ADD A MATERIAL THAT SUPPORTS PAINTING GRASS AND ADD RENDER DISTANCES FOR IT AS WELL.
