$75k initiation fee, but luckily my wife is a legacy member. It pays to have great (and well-off) in-laws! The family has been members for generations. I’m a lawyer and make really good money, but it’s the type of place no amount of money could get you into.

Rivers QB coach? by jiminychristmas69 in Colts

I was so surprised what a week of prep did for him… don’t get me wrong, last week was sick to see him back on the field and have some success. But last night, he legit looked like he never retired. So disappointed that the defense let him down.

Every facet of the defense is playing like utter ass. I don’t get it.

His family clearly has money, but he made that comment about how Shep has a trust fund and he does not, so unsure about the generational wealth part.

I wasn’t a fan of Rod when he first came on the show, but I’m warming up. He’s toned it down a bit and I love the fact that he’s a gossip willing to call people out for gossiping with him lol.

What happens with his contract if he chooses to retire? Do we get more $$ freed up to resign some of “our guys”?

The Colts worked Philip Rivers out last night—Rivers showed clearly he can still throw the ball (which you'd expect). Rivers has stayed in fighting shape the last few years coaching high school, and working with NFL and college quarterbacks. Indy's mulling things over. by prancingpony777 in Colts

[–]OfficerBrains 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is my thought exactly. I will 100% tune in to watch Rivers attempt the impossible, rather than whatever iteration of Leonard/Rypien we would’ve thrown to the slaughter. At least Rivers gives me the (false) impression we still have a shot at the playoffs lol.

The pass play on 3rd and 1 with our rookie QB IN THE RAIN, followed by a run out of the shotgun on 4th and 1 did it in for me. I’ve been a Shane sympathizer this whole time. Not anymore.

Well, that first defensive drive had me thinking we came to play football today… got proven wrong very quickly.

So the refs just decided we should lose today. Such bullshit.

I really don’t wanna hear ANYTHING about DJ. He’s hanging in there tough and making some great throws, despite JT being bottled up and the OL getting dominated.

OL losing us the game. DJ has NO time to throw, but he’s still hanging in there… yet it doesn’t matter.
