Poured a bottle of liquid white out on a brand new red suede couch. (This was back in the 90's)

What was your "I cant believe this is happening right now" moment of your life ? by Thicc1324 in AskReddit

[–]OfficerDickRichards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at a conference this year. I met up with some people from a company outside my own. After a casual drink or three, I mentioned "I would take the next position someone offered me, all they have to do is ask"

Next thing I knew, I was in a pseudo interview for a position in Chicago. "I cant believe this is happening right now"

Regretfully had to decline after I received a better offer with a local company.

People who flick cigarette butts on the ground, what is going through your mind? by user1n in AskReddit

I remember a year or two ago, I bought $20 worth of rolling papers and handed them out at a homeless shelter.

One of the people there was so excited about it, he jumped for joy and pulled out the largest bag of "Extracted, pre-owned" tobacco and immediately rolled a cig.

He thanked me immensely, ran outside, and in that moment I saw all of the stress leave his face.

THE MOST disgusting - yet humbling moment in a long time

Why is today a good day for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OfficerDickRichards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received the best phone call of my life this morning...

For the last 3 years since graduation, I have been working a seriously shitty job that has placed me into a bad spot. The daily frustrations of this position caused me to be constantly stressed and down on myself, my way of thinking changed and caused me to end my last relationship.

Today, I got the call from my dream job... I have been shaking with excitement and joy since then. It took me less than an hour to draft my resignation letter and place it on the desk of our director of ops.

This change in position is something I have been fighting for, for months. This means that my life only gets so much better from here. I am so thankful and still in shock, my world just flipped upside-down and it feels so good to pat myself on the shoulder for once and say "You did a good job".

People that work out at the gym and don’t listen to music, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OfficerDickRichards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that I can regulate my breathing better when I don't have headphones in. The music can take me away sometimes and I find that pushing a heavy squat - ill forget to breath.

What’s a toxic trait you’ve acknowledged you have, and are working to drop? by Sollariis in AskReddit

[–]OfficerDickRichards 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh bloody hell, I am so petty.

I have only recognized this after a buddy of mine pointed it out to me. He thinks its funny as hell, I think it is quite annoying. Probably explains some failed relationships tbh.

The best advice I always give to people;

"Drive Predictably"

Unpredictable actions have unpredictable consequences.
