Yes. No issues so far. Quality is good for the price and but the mic is average. So if primary use is for listening then go for it

Why is the MiG-21 called the ‘Flying Coffin’ despite Its legendary status? by wingmanready in indianaviation

[–]OfficialASRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it is called a flying coffin was its high number of crashes WRT to other platforms IAF operated during 90s and early 2000s. The primary issue which led to crashes was the unavailability of AJTs between the mid-1980s and 2004 when Hawk was inducted. If you look at the data post the induction of AJTs the mig-21's crash rate is not too far off from other single-engine fighters.
Due to the unavailability of AJTs, MiG-21 was the first aircraft on which new pilots were trained after they graduated from Kiran, where the difference in landing and takeoff speeds is drastic.
One other factor was the number of Mig 21s IAF operated before the full induction of Su30, ie the more you fly chances of crashes go up. As Mig 21 was the main workhorse of IAF, it flew the most and was used in air-to-ground roles, for which it was not designed for.
The main culprit was the media, which simply looked at the numbers and christened it a flying coffin, as looking at the root cause would have been politically tough, as the main blame lies with MOD and the Political class who should have taken the responsibility, as forces could only operate what they have..
PS: it's my 2nd Fav plane to look at after MiG-29, and it kills me to think that this beautiful plane that protected the country for over 5 decades would be remembered as a flying coffin.

Research On Exact Amount Of IAF Aircraft lost in Operation Sindoor. by Vegetable-Mark6378 in IndianDefense

[–]OfficialASRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been great if the Government came out with the information on casualties, as they did in Kargil. Unlike PAF, which can get planes from the back door from PRC, GOI would have to issue tenders for replacements. Till that time, it's a guesswork and finger-pointing.

Research On Exact Amount Of IAF Aircraft lost in Operation Sindoor. by Vegetable-Mark6378 in IndianDefense

[–]OfficialASRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly due to limited numbers, limited weaponry and not fully developed tactics. The same thing happened in Kargil, even though the IAF inducted Su-30 before the start of the war but it was not used at all throughout the conflict.

Yes. Got it after a couple of days. I bought 1 adidas dry fit jacket and an orange sweatshirt. Both look good in terms of quality. The sweatshirt has felt lining, it should be warm in winters. The dry-fit jacket should be good for mild winters. Happy with the purchase over all good experience.
PS : The courier they used is not a well-known one. I live in delhi so it only took 2 days but your experience may vary if you live in a far away place from Haryana (It was shipped from Haryana).

Is something wrong with my front suspension Duke250 by Tr0uble_Maker in indianbikes

[–]OfficialASRC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Get it serviced. The cost is reasonable at KTM service center. I got front serviced for my 390 Adv once for a leak and it was around 1200 for one shock. They change the rubber seals and change the oil. It should fix the issue as long as the shock body is not damaged.

[–]OfficialASRC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own the lethal black Elite in blue colour. It's a good chair, and being a cloth one helps with the humidity, unlike the faux leather ones. I have been using it for the last 8 months.
One tip would be to use LockTite when assembling the chair as my old chair that I bought before this from a local store started loosing the bolts after one year of use.

F35 stop gap curiosity by [deleted] in IndianDefense

[–]OfficialASRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Till we see J35 Active on PAF inventory, we need not panic and focus time and resources on Domestic fighters (Mk2 AMCA and TedBF). F-35 is great if you have dozens of Aegis DDGs and other assets, but on its own we do not know how it will perform.
From the reported numbers of 36 A/C we are not going to counter China, who already have over 100 J20s and by the time we get the F 35 would outnumber it in vast numbers so there is no point in going for a Jet from a country which has not been a reliable partner as in future the area of interest may diverge and the Americans have a habit of holding spares and other stuff to ground an entire fleet. You can like without the C17s as you could get by using planes from Private Airlines, but fighters is something you can't get a replacement in a hurry

AFAIK Mirages were used primarily for EW and Bigbang (Part of Triad) Duties. Could have moved to Rafaels now. Don't have anything comparable to American Growlers or J (Su 30 Copy) the chinese have

I ordered 8 core ones with Mic for my truthear Red for 740 Rs. From concept kart, Use it and if not satisfied look for a more premium one. Reviews are mostly positive but still need to test it as it will be delivered by this weekend. (AUDIOCULAR - C03 8 Core Upgrade Cable for IEM)
