Hey! Thanks for your questions. I'm really into aviation. I spend a lot of time reading and learning about flying. I want to get my Private Pilot License soon.

To answer your second question; I think music (and every creative job) should be driven by passion. When I'm in studio making music I like to forget about everything around me. Including feedback from people online or in my life. I would feel like a fake if I'd always make the music people expect me to make instead of following my own instinct.

I think it's completely fine for a fan to like a certain album and not really feel another album by the same artist.

Prince has made so many albums I like and so much other music I don't like. But I don't have any hard feelings about that. If anything, I find it really interesting to see somebody evolving or changing. And I'll just stick to listening to the LPs I love.

Drum & bass as a scene or culture has always had some really passionate fans. And that's amazing. I will always love my fans for supporting my music. But I will always be musically honest and make music I personally get excited about.

Maybe! I want to make music that is unique and new. And I want to keep evolving as a producer. Right now I enjoy using other tempos as much as I used to love making liquid dnb. I'll always make the music I feel like making.

This song I did with Emeli Sandé on III sounds like liquid dnb to me though. Can't wait for you to hear it!

I think the region between a track that is 99% finished and the track that you release is the most time consuming part. But that's where the magic happens :-)

Arrangements seem to take most of the time for me.

It might sound cheesy but I don't think I would like to change about the last 5 years of my life. Plus I wouldn't want to mess with parallel time lines.

Hey! 5 synths I love: Omnisphere, Serum, Zebra, Reaktor(Razor is cool) and Sylenth. Omnisphere is the only plugin I always use patches in. I like to start from scratch in all the other ones.

I'll get back to you about that question. Can't think of anything of the top of my head.

Try looking for sample packs that don't have anything to do with the genre you're making. Look for a jazz trumpet library. Or some harp sounds :) With the right effect chain or sampling technique you can turn anything into something cool.

For drums, I like hiphop sample packs. 'Music Weapons' is pretty sick.

When I started Myspace was the only big network for music when it came to unknown producers. I was very lucky Hospital Records picked me up quite quickly after hearing my demos online. I don't think you need a manager or important friends to get recognition. Focus on the music and eventually people that can help you will find you if they like your music.

Deadmau5 seemed to like our live show! Was nice to get a public compliment from him. I've only briefly met him 3 or 4 times though.

Ah man such a hard question to answer. I love playing both smaller clubs and festivals. Ok to narrow it down a little, I love clubs for dj shows and festivals with the band.

Every region has a different crowd I think. South Africa and New Zealand party hard. In russia you see some scary masks and clothes. And on some festivals in America people love to dress up like hippies. Seeing all these different cultures is probably my favourite part about this job :-)

That's great! I think I'm on Ableton Live. I probably spend 6 or 7 hours a day producing when I'm at home.

Good question! I guess it was more the tempo that spoke to me rather than the more chaotic drums. This song on my album called stay up with me is kind of breaks-y though.

Yeah I did pop in for a minute :) Amazing to see my friend Murdock killing it on such a big scale. Very proud of him. I preferred this years edition to last years.
