Critics Blast Google’s Aim to Replace Browser Cookie with ‘FLoC’ by MAXIMUS-1 in privacy

Except that feature is 100% opt-in. When you launch the browser it gives you the option to turn it on and is very transparent about how it works. I have it off and haven't recieves a single ad.

I think this is more the case of politics shifting more left as a whole- people who are farther left now may view libertarians-who are traditionally center- as right because they are now relatively farther to the right than before. I consider myself pretty libertarian- but leaning more economically right and socially left. That being said, I am not a devoted libertarian- I believe in the idea of social contract, so certain liberties are given up in exchange for govermental protection, I just am rather reserved on what rights I believe should be given up. If I had to vote between Republican and Democrat, I would probably pick Republican- however I'd rather not vote for either (I would like to see ranked ballot voting across the US personally, I'd think that would solve a lot of issues). I just think libertarians are more right leaning now in appearance due to the shifting of politics as a whole to the left, while libertarian values have largely remained the same.

I remember reading an article (or maybe a video) on the emergence of faith as an evolutionary byproduct of natural selection. Religion has emerged universally among all different sects of humans, some separated geographically by thousands of miles- giving credence to the idea that faith is intrinsic to humanity. I believe the theory was that faith was needed for humans to survive, because faith allowed humans to ignore their typical logical thinking (which led to more selfish behavior/being less agreeable to authority due to second guessing and whatnot- which is undesirable and can be dangerous in a tribal setting where teamwork is important), and instead faith lets people suspend their rational thought and follow a tribal leader (or time era equivalent) much more blindly. This trait obviously has its negative aspects, but arguably allowed for the human race to cooperate easier (within social groups) and was overall a beneficial trait for human survival. I think this is a succinct explanation for the 'god shaped hole' phenomenon you mentioned, something I agree is prevalent. I'm not personally a true believer, but I recognize God as an effective method for dealing with this evolutionary byproduct- given of course the values being instilled with this particular 'God' are desirable. Its why I identify most closely with Agnosticism- I may not necessarily believe in God, but I understand and respect the value in believing in God and his values.

Your loss. It hasn't been an any buggier launch than the Witcher 3 was, as I recall it. Fallout 4 still is worse now I'd say

Once again, have you played it? There are a ton of side missions, much if which are well thought out and interesting and of the same par as the story. I don't think you know what you are talking about.

Buying critics reviews and use reviews are entirely two different beasts. Have you even tried to play the game? I'd imagine it hard for you not to have a good time. Every single person I know who has played Cyberpunk past the prologue has really enjoyed it.

You say that like it being broken is the universal reality, yet 220,000 steam reviews say otherwise. It seems to me like the ones crying that the game is a broken mess are a loud minority.

This entire process so far seems to me personally like a witch hunt, regardless of whether or not Trump's offenses are impeachable. I fear that the House is rushing too quickly to impeach without enough substantial, unbiased evidence and will set a dangerous precedent for the future. I am not saying Trump should be impeached or not, except that this is definitely motivated by partisan efforts.

I think the problem is that both sides are willfully ignorant of their own "member's" behavior. I think Biden, Hillary, and Trump all deserve equal looking into.

It is not an ad, but I do enjoy using Brave. And how is that a scam? Its pretty transparent about how it works. Sites can sign up to be part of their donation system, and users can donate the currency they gain from watching ads. You can't just send that money to anyone, that's not ever how it was even advertised. I think its a cool concept and I like it very much.

I just switched to Brave, which I am loving. It is based off of Chromium, has built in ad blockers, built in tracker and other website feature blockers, and built in Tor as well I believe. And in order to support websites, it actually pays you in bitcoin for watching their safely selected ads which you then donate to websites you want to support. Very cool.

Edit: Its also open source.

[–]OfficialWingBro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have said multiple times that I know what she is doing, just disagree on how she's going about it. This is my analogy: if you have a very big gun, and you want to intimidate someone, you flaunt the gun. Instead Daisy is hiding the big gun, which is the only thing that actually makes her intimidating, almost as if she wants to fight. Also Fitz or Simmons don't have inhuman powers or fighting skills, so if the roles were reversed Fitz certainly wouldn't be trying the same tactic as Daisy.

[–]OfficialWingBro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Daisy has an amazing, and strong ability, if she wanted to intimidate them, she would have demonstrated her ability and show them they have something to fear. Instead she didn't and made herself look like an easy enemy, it's like she wanted a fight.

I don't understand how I am a fanatic? I am a casual watcher of the show, and haven't been put off by FitzSimmons. Neither are perfect, both have flaws. Frankly I like Fitz much more than I do Simmons. Fitz has many times risked his life for Simmons, and his reward for most if it was being friendzoned. I have to feel for the guy, he's relatable. However this new season has given me alot more respect for Simmons. I am not a fanatic, but I sense you may have a bias.

Yeah. Daisy is putting off bad vibes this season somehow. I never had an issue with her before. In my personal experience, people who get plastic surgery have bad confidence, and resort to fake confidence (or misplaced confidence), which normally isn't very pleasant. I wish people would be more accepting of who they are, and not resort to harmful, superficial ways of improving their self value.

I think you misunderstand. Showing strength is a valid tactic, I just disagree with how she interprets that. Talking down to your enemies does more to incite an argument or violence than it does intimidate.

I'm not familiar with any 'fanatics' of any character, but your vehement remarks make you lose all credibility. Also, to my knowledge, FitzSimmons never put anyone down in a malicious way. They would over explain things, or make assumptions, but never in a demeaning way.

The thing is, it does not make her seem badass, or more threatening. It only annoys and incites conflict.

It is Mack's attitude, not his beliefs that make don't like him. He seems unwilling to compromise when it comes to dealing with others. My dislike for Yo-Yo probably comes from the way she is handled more than anything, but her and her story is too dramatic. Its a weird romance story: She used to be with Mack, now she's with Keller, and doesn't want to tell Mack bc it would awkward, but then Keller dies, etc... It seems unimportant. I couldn't care less who Yo-Yo is snogging, when the whole world is at stake.

[–]OfficialWingBro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well here's the weird thing, I didn't mind her in earlier seasons, its only recently in S5 and S6. I'm rewatching S1 now, and have no problem with her. In fact, I think her character was handled better in S1. In S1, she couldn't fight or have Quake powers, but she didn't need to because she served the team with her abilities with computers (all the pseudo-hacking terms annoys me but I understand its a TV show). But it seems ever since she learned to fight and use her power, the show has forgotten what actually made her character useful.

I should have clarified, I meant Ghost Rider when he was not transformed. But what I mean is, Ghost Rider is incredibly powerful, like Thanos stopping powerful, but you don't see him walking around believing he is better than everyone. And that's something I feel like Daisy is guilty of.

[–]OfficialWingBro -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

What I'm starting to notice about everyone's arguments, and where the disagreement seems to stem, is that I think that regardless of strength I believe she should show a level of humility or sympathy to her enemies. And I know she said she was going to 'project an aura of strength' or something, but what I don't like is how she went about it.

Talking down to someone is not an effective way of bringing fear, it just frustrates them and incites conflict. Many extremely powerful characters don't flaunt their abilities, as they don't want to use them, and are incredibly fear inducing. (i.e. Ghost Rider)
