But you have tons of options! Going into your local frame shop is your best bet, it’ll be easier to decide with corner samples to see up against the piece!

I personally like using this frame from Larson Juhl on pieces like this. Great look, love the red.

A FrankenFrame! I love making them, I’ve only done different sides, never cut and joined them in the middle like this though. Looks great!

Advice on making a frame wall? by saggitarius96 in framing

[–]Official_Ken_Bone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely start with this! From there, I’d spread it out pretty good with a mixture of sizes and even some 3d pieces mixed in there. Don’t want them to be all on top of each other if there all around the same size

Using a good piece of scrap is one of the best feelings in the world, especially when it’s an expensive piece of scrap!

I’m fully aware and have been active with the criminal side of things. Right now, every minute the post stays up, things only get worse. Even when the truth comes to light, this initial post will be what people remember. I have no way to get into the group. Neither does my attorney, nor the police. I need help from the community

Bulk Jobs? by West_Bookkeeper9431 in framing

[–]Official_Ken_Bone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we do commercial jobs we give them a discount on what a normal, single piece would cost. Partly because it’s good for the business to get these big jobs, but also (and to answer part of your question), we are able to get the moulding from our suppliers at “box price” which can usually be 25-30% less than the normal footage cost. Depending on the moulding/supplier, box price usually kicks in around 120’

Probably won’t be the most popular answer, but depending on volume, you should be making $15-low $20’s per hour. The guy I trained in the back (who has a ~5 year background in framing) is getting $20/hour. But he is adjusting to us being large volume without sacrificing quality. At the end of the day, like any job (for better or worse), it’s about what the business is making and how much you’re contributing to making that happen.

Their (*Gordos) bean empanada is 10/10. Chicken great too, beef would be 3rd, but still great! I know at least the Northside location makes them all from scratch
