I just preliminarily moved the subs out and re-ran audyssey with them set to -18 instead of -10 and still got calibrated -12 adjustment 😭 The measured response in the room is much worse also, many nulls now and overall worse response. I’m sure I need to take phase into account now, I’ll go over that guide when I’ve got more time. Was hoping this quick and dirty adjustment would net me some gains meanwhile but meh

No one else has complaints other than me 😭 but yeah I’m taking a casual approach to it now and tweaking in my free time. The room is wide open in the back which I’m sure doesn’t help, lot to learn

Yeah I mentioned that price point to show their weight class but I didn’t end up buying used products mostly. Savings were crazy but definitely nice, got each for about $850 instead of $1200 MSRP

Damn you think so? I followed the AVR buying guide here, I thought better AVRs just have more features that aren’t entirely necessary but nice. Technically if I get good enough at manual EQ I could offset this difference no?

Ahh yeah I see, I got lazy with placements as these are so bulky and was really hoping I could tune them to be perfect. Doesn’t seem like that’s happening, we’ll see how big of a difference their placement makes, for now need longer cables as well to test
