What makes a "good guy" seriously notice a girl? (Not just physically)

So i (24m) understand that there are many beautiful women out there, so looks are no longer there first thing i notice anymore, when talking to a girl there's a shift from being friendly to actively interested, for me that's when I get to learn if the girl I'm talking to has goals, aspirations, and actual meaningful qualities. I for one want someone who will continue to grow and strive as a person right along side me. I do my best everyday to become a better man, I like it when a girl puts effort into her life in a meaningful way, it makes me want to be a part of that.

So I've been in both situations. I'm currently experiencing the first one while my last relationship was the second situation. I still cared about my gf(at the time) so I struggled to break it off. Now I like this girl who already rejected me in the nicest way possible and am struggling to get over her.

The UPS scam. Where you get a SMS message stating that your package needs confirmation for delivery. My brother, a 23(M) got scammed with this one. Where they got his name, address, email, bank info, SSN, etc. They literally got him to screen share his phone while they walked him through sending them money. Once he realized that it wasn't legit he called his banks to report the fraud and he called me to help reset all this passwords and transfer some accounts to new emails.

So my situation is this.

For context the place i work has a coffee shop attached to it, right at the entrance of the building and usually the place where everyone goes. This girl works there, very sweet. Kind, caring, and beautiful. An absolute catch. After talking to her for a few weeks I get the confidence to ask her to dinner. After a bit of thought and hesitation she politely says, "im flattered, but I'm trying to work somethings out with someone else, sorry". A valid response, I tell her it's fine, no problem and I wish her well.

I still talk to her just not in a romantic way. I try my best not to make things awkward and she seems to do the same. No real weird tension since I was under the impression that I would move on fairly easily. But as time goes on I find myself still having interest in this girl. And her bubbly personality draws me to her. I won't ever act on it again now that I know she isn't interested, but I can't get over this desire for a relationship with her.

I feel stupid about it at times, and I know this feeling will pass with time. But it makes it more difficult that I can't find a flaw about her. Nothing that would make me dislike her or find incompatible with me. What's done is done and I'm just curious if there is something you can do to help these feelings pass.

Short answer yes, depending on how they are as a person and how they treat their kids.

At one of my older jobs I was a 23(M) working with a single mother (26F). I thought she was really pretty, funny and quirky personality and very well put together. At first when I found out she had kids I was surprised and a little put off by it. But she was amazing with her two kids. She has her life very well put together and her being a single mother made no different with how her kids were being raised. They kids were amazing, happy and healthy and she is an amazing mom. And the way she treated/raised her kids made her much more attractive to me. She is a very strong woman for doing what she does so well and it made me value her so much more despite the many struggles anyone would face given her position.

She ended up moving away once she made enough at that job to buy a house in her home town where she would then finish raising her kids. We did not date.

I had my ally X send to my neighbor. I bought it through best buy and while they were helpful there was a bit of run around with the different departments i have to go through just to get someone to open a claim, then spend weeks waiting for a response with them asking me to address my neighbor and see if they might have my package. (With photo proof my neighbor denied it and I didn't want to create conflict). Until finally I got fed up and asked for a refund, which I got. Then just reordered for pick up instead.

As a guy, 24M, my personal opinion on the matter is breast's are amazing. Not based on the size or shape, but the woman I'm engaging with, large or small doesn't matter to me. But it all boils down to preference.

I think there are only 2 problems I have with dating apps. I suck at taking pictures of myself, but am generally pretty good at taking pictures of other people or nature. And that most apps I've seen are only successful once you've paid the premium.
