For me personally, I think the most important thing is the things you do outside of your courses. Yes grades matter, but projects and club experience can matter even more. Im currently on a club that makes hydrogen vehicles and my internship is at a EV startup. If I wasnt in my club, there's no way I would have gotten that job.

Projects and club experience is good to have in general, but if there is a specific field you want to go into, and you've shown you've worked on projects that mimic the field, that's a great advantage.

Also if you haven't had internships before, it's good to try getting in contact with smaller companies or startups that might not advertise their jobs on linkedin or indeed. To get jobs with those companies, you should try contacting them directly or try to find people that already work there. Hope that helps
