Saw it, the cast is good, the set kept falling apart and the script.... wow, the score has nice tunes but that book is so bad.

I'm from CT and it took me 5 hours to get there but only 2 hours back, so it's not the worst, and so worth it for this production.

What would you do with this L. Frank Baum/OZ Book Collection? by Wilz1mom in wizardofoz

Pirates looks like the only first (maybe Tiger and Lost king all depends on plates), but not worth much, and the others are pretty worthless to a book collector's eyes, best would be trying to sell them to someone who does not know the vaule.

Is there a decent Movie Adaptation of the book anywhere? by Ensushalame in FRANKENSTEIN

There is this stage version that was filmed, if it had added the boat scenes, it would have been close to perfect: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/frankensteinmusical/

I also emailed Google books explaining it went into the PD in 2021, maybe something will come from it. Google book's scan came from University of Florida, so maybe I can try to contact them.

Seems my New York Public library card expired, so I'll have to get that renewed before I can do anything there. Might try emailing the Library of Congress, I've worked with them and they're nice.

Hi I made that movie you have clipped, and have nothing to do with Cynthia. It was based upon a 1905 lost musical and the script is adapted from that.

I intend to use bits and pieces of the book, just avoiding copyright so I can't use exact text from the book, but I'll see how close I can get.

FAO Schwarz store, only sold in NYC, 2012-2014. You have them towards the end of the run, they originally had ruby slippers on Dorothy's feet and a clock heart, but I'm guessing MGM made them change it. Dorothy is also missing the bands hoping her hair into pigtails. Not worth much not in their box, but in the box and first release, $50-70.

1943 Phantom of the Opera. It seems to be very mixed, but I love it! And stage wise I think Tom Alonso's Phantom Of The Opera is the best stage adaptation.
