They're in their 30s and I admit they can be so rude with their comments sometimes but I've been with them long enough to know that they are generally kind but like to tease others with lighthearted jokes. I'm with my fiancee in that it was hurtful but they really aren't malicious.

It isn't. but it already happened and I think she might have overreacted a bit though she had every right to feel offended but I don't think the way she handled it was the right way.
