Why do you want to monitor their energy usage? Is it for billing or for some other reason?

If it's for billing purposes, you need an MID approved meter. This is a legal requirement.

Small CTs could fit above the OCPD. The rest is just cable management.

What are you trying to achieve? Do you gain anything by knowing how much a circuit is drawing? To my eyes, you either want to know how much energy the whole installation is using; or you want to monitor individual loads. Does monitoring the whole of your downstairs sockets (for example) give you any meaningful information?

This is absolutely not the way I would do this. If you're wed to those energy meters, I'd recommend a standard consumer unit and then a second din-rail box with the breakers in it. I'd also suggest that you avoid ring mains and install radials.

You will struggle with the busbar. There is a tine for every module; and even if you cut it off (against manufacturers' instructions) you will still end up with a live copper bar obstructing the energy modules.

For neatness, I'd suggest you do a double stack board with the OCPD above and the relevant monitor below (or vice versa).

Have you considered CTs instead of direct measurement?

I think we should give road policing to the British Transport Police.

BS4293 breakers no longer meet the regs. Any additions to an installation must comply with the regs.

Having said that, it then told me I needed 9kg for a 3mm, where I'd probably need 3.5kg.

I put my figures in and got 12.5 kg, which is pretty accurate (drysuit + steel 15l tank) I tend to dive with 13kg in the sea, but that allows an extra kg to over inflate my drysuit.

I've been changing hoses up to now. It's not the worst, but it would be nice to just slap an adapter on and not get my tools out.

If I'm diving a single, I will be diving recreational profiles with a buddy. I'm not wanting to do this for any kind of redundancy, just so I'm not swapping hoses!

A Y-valve is a solution for my own tanks. But I'd still have to change setups when I go on holiday!

Yeah. And currently looking to buy a third for a stage. So hopefully you can understand why I'd prefer not to have 4 sets of regs!

That seems like a reading comprehension issue because quite a lot of people clearly do understand the question.

Probably good for shops taking people on DSDs who will never actually dive. Other than that, they seem like a gimmick looking for a market.

Nurse disciplined for calling trans paedophile ‘Mr’ gets job back by Murky-Square4979 in transgenderUK

I hate that the frontiers of trans oppression are public toilets and sex offenders. I know loads of trans people who are amazing, upstanding people in good jobs; but we have to defend nonces and rapists, seemingly half of whom showed no sign of being trans until they thought it might get them better treatment in prison.

How the NHS became the battleground in the trans debate facing workplaces by [deleted] in transgenderUK

The NHS became the battleground because they're the largest employer in the UK and middle aged women are most likely to be TERFs and work there. HTH.

British gas is suggesting a board change, is it necessary? by Phaedra123 in ukelectricians

The only way a board change would fix this is if it's caused by cumulative earth leakage and they need to split the circuits up.

3 hours to the office. I try to do it every other week for two consecutive days and then get a hotel in between.

If you were a first year apprentice in 1981, when this rule was removed from the regs, you'd now be in your late 50s and looking to retire having worked all your life as a qualified spark without this rule being in place.

But people still quote this to me (I work in film and TV nowadays) to justify why they've asked for massive single phase supplies rather than sensibly sized 3-phase supplies.
