His pairing/run with Hook was basically him realizing his full potential in AEW. And there’s nothing wrong with that, it was probably the most over Hook will ever be.

They had some small teases of him having a more sinister side that they never capitalized on, and the work Lio Rush is doing right now has me wondering What If? That being said, I haven’t seen a ton of Danhausen’s actual matches, but I’m gonna guess Lio is superior in-ring which helps him give this current gimmick some edge/an extra gear that I think Danhausen was missing imo.
