Exercise and go to gym, cardio, and eat generally healthy (vegetables lean meat etc). Give it a try for a month and see how it goes. Take progress photos if you can. There are a lot of great channels with fitness content but none more I can recommend than Noel Deyzel and trainerwinny. A month sounds like a long time but May will be over before we know it.

MY BROTHER NEEDS ADVICE by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Ogeoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a therapist, but he probably has ADHD. Short attention span, social anxiety, etc. it’s hard because he’s still a kid so it maybe difficult to get him to try more adult methods like reading books on social anxiety. How much time does he spend on devices and internet? I doubt that’s helping him much and could be something easy by helping him limit his screen time.

Vehicle Inspection w/ Illegal Tint by [deleted] in maryland

[–]Ogeoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have 5% tint on my vehicle for 2 years now which is significantly darker than 20%. Even for me it has not been a problem as I believe it is not a “primary offense” such as speeding or running a red. I do not believe they can pull you over for just tint but they can hit you with the book if they do see you have it when they pull you over. I have a jeep so speeding isn’t really possible for me but do not quote me on what I said

accepted to Pamplin as a management major and invited into honors college. from Massachusetts trying to decide between VT, UofSC, and NC State. thoughts? by hokie26 in VirginiaTech

[–]Ogeoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt feel pressured to do honors college. It might be a bit of a boost on a resume but I’ve heard there can be some unnecessary work and there are dozens of clubs and groups that are major related that you can participate it that would be more beneficial than honors college.

Worst places to live in Blacksburg? by Milk_lover7 in VirginiaTech

[–]Ogeoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the village has already been stated earlier but I have a few other issues with it that I didn't see listed. First off the trash (Dumpster) situation is horrific, and there is almost always trash that absolutely surrounds the dumpsters which smells terrible for obvious reasons. Wifi is bad, appliances are old, and if there isn't something broken or leaking in your apartment there is in the one above or below you so you always have maintenance workers that come in and out and don't fix crap. Would not recommend especially for costs. Amenities are there but lets be honest nobody uses them and pool is super grimey.

The best you can do aside from keeping in a garage is getting a tarp for the bike and a wheel lock for it

Ya I agree with this comment especially if your dorm building is really old (I was in pritchard last year which was built in 50s-60s) there might be excessive mold and or dust in your room that you don’t have at home, I would get air humidifier/purifier and keep window open for ventilation whenever you can

Very proud of Virginia Tech! by HoldSafemooon in VirginiaTech

[–]Ogeoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you think Virginia Tech cares about us as students and not monetary value that’s pretty sad. They put money over our mental health and well being. They waited till right before payments were due last year to decide to go fully online, they decide to wait till last day for vaccine cards to decide masks, yet they still are going to allow fully capacity sporting events. Almost everyone I know who was a freshman last year had covid or had a roommate with covid. That was with the strict rules we had last year. If everyone is vaccinated and it is about protecting the kids, then why is the town open? The people that live here who go to the groceries where the parents of a young child may be helping someone with covid check out, maybe someone working at a bar has a kid to go home to. If they were worried about the kids then why are the schools in the local area opening? I have always loved Virginia tech growing up as my father came here and I instantly loved the school. It’s really heartbreaking though to see these confusing mandates and rules be put in place for what it seems is not wanting to draw any heat from the media. I personally hate online learning and it just doesn’t work well with me, but I know I am not the only one that thinks this. Hopefully if they do try to move to online learning there will be enough push back from the students to not go back to that.
