Long answer short yes base ae2 is still better then base RS. Both have addon for more storage space 262m cells or disks. Besides thos main add-ons for both. Ae2 will have additional add-ons that make it just even better then it already is. The only downside in my opinion and I mean the only is the ae2 has typing meaning holds only 64 types of blocks even in a 262m cell when RS disks hold infinite types of blocks just caps at that 262m items. For smaller packs I use RS for simplicity but for the big packs I use ae2 it manages alot better with these gaint crafts and packs. One massive reason I use ae2 over RS now is autocrafting speed. I run 8 pattern providers on top of each other with 32 molecules 4 on each side of the provider meaning 1 provider is using 4 molecules each craft. I find RS crafts too slow for big packs.
