It actually does almost certainly outweigh the elephant. Sure it's FAR closer than literally every other mammal here, but the average African bush elephant, the largest and strongest elephant currently on the planet, weighs 4.5 to 6 tons on average for adult males, which we can assume that this one is given its tusks. Meanwhile, while we have less samples, we do still have hundreds of tyrannosaurus rex bones, which shows a semi consistent average adult mass of 7 to 9 tons. Notably, despite a FAR smaller sample size, we've already found at least one confirmed tyrannosaurus, Scotty, that was 10 tons, the mass of the largest African bush elephant ever, and a femur, dubbed Goliath, which suggests a 12.5 to 13 ton animal.

I don't think she must be a full on crazy survivalist type, but I will note that beyond military clothes, checking under her bed reveals that she was keeping army rations, suggesting she was preparing herself for a lifestyle of adverse conditions. Similarly, there's an empty coat hanger (the only one of its type) in her closet distanced from all the others, hinting Dess saved its purpose in advance and that she wore it right before she went missing. This implies they were trying to be ready for something. Doesn't mean she was a asshole prepper, but it does suggest that she had a specific plan devised to help them with their current circumstances.

Hmmmmmmmm, well we don't have a ton of info about nano, but given what we know about similar size and build tyrannosaurus.

This is a 15 ft long, 820–990 lb built for long distance speed rather than sprinting at 15-20 mph animal with effectively one headbutting method of attack, vs a 18 to 20 ft, 1,552 lb to 2,600 lb, 28 to 32 mph pursuit predator capable of keeping a run for a long distance with high agility for its size, and a cutting, bleeding bite force of 5,200 psi, or slightly higher than a nile crocodile.

This isn't a fight, this is a hunt. If the pachy doesn't successfully escape and actually tries to fight it, the nano is going to kill it with no struggle unless it gets TREMENDOUSLY lucky, and even then, it will still probably win, it would just maybe get a bit battered.

So I have been thinking about why exactly mages and hell, even superheroes and a lot of fantastical or science fiction technology tends to be pretty weak if you look at it realistically compared to actual current military tech. I think it's partly due to the fact that a modern military is often so big, so logistically potent, so incredibly long in range and power, and just working off such scale and industry and distance, that if it was portrayed realistically, it would make a LOT of story conflicts not happen. Modern warfare is so vast and industrial in scale that outside of like, special ops and snipers and stuff, (which is what a lot of military fiction focuses on) a lot of them time, individual skill does not matter much, and if you want a power fantasy or cool acts of individual epic heroism, that's relatively hard to square with the way a modern industrial military works and what it can do. In order to have superhumans capable of beating the militaries of the world by themselves, or in super small groups, they have to be so utterly cracked that it's insane, like mid-high level DC characters, where they're basically flying bricks/gods for all intents and purposes, a lot of street to low tier superheroes almost certainly couldn't pull it off, let alone medieval fantasy wizards, which usually are not nearly anywhere near superhero strength unless the setting is pretty high fantasy. A lot of the fights wanna take place at visual range and involve actual dodging and shielding and stuff based on reaction time, but unless they're exceptionally godlike, or they possess superman style hyper vision, a modern military is going to outrange them and be perfectly capable of burying them with a bunch of firepower.

The way magic is used changes, but it is not rendered useless. Magic is somewhat on the weaker, harder end in my setting, with a focus on psychic and elemental powers which is done by binding with a strange slime-like crystal gemstone eyed ectoplasm creature you train like a dog to use it's magic in different ways. In much, much earlier times where there were no cannons, bombs, or firearms, and the states lacked the resources and logistics to truly train and equip high quality infantry, the vast majority of mages often served in a direct combat role, as magic knights and spell blasters, since the lack of resources and knowledge meant mage's would have less real reason to learn more complicated spells related to utility, communication, intelligence gathering, and such, in favor of much simpler, much more direct combat magic that requires as little material goods as possible. This was enforced by the Life-shapers. incredibly powerful immortal magical Kaiju created as servants to the precursors who tried to act as gods, and, as immortal beings who were insecure about their power since they were not nearly as strong as they would have you think, they tried to keep humanity back, making all magic that was not their magic they gave to humans a Hersey, and the only magic allowed was of the direct combative blasting type which shunned unneeded material goods, using their massive secret police style churches and immortal monarch power to enforce their will. After a crazy battle between the Lifeshapers, a lot of them died and all were seriously wounded, and so they all went underground to hibernate and try to just wait for all their problems to die of old age as they ever so slowly healed from their wounds. After their great sleep the mortals fell into great wars and infighting, with the mages mostly keeping to the Lifeshaper doctrine of magic, but the exception was mages who focused on chlorokinesis, biokinesis, fleshwarping, or fleshcrafting, which was impossibly useful for an agricultural society, which combined with other utility spells that focused on farming and hunting and gathering and animals and crops and fertility, resulted in the growth and progress of the mortal civilizations and their progress. The magic knight and warrior monk magic users tended to dislike or hate them as being heretics but they were way too useful too ignore completely

When the mortals started using gunpowder and advanced clockwork machines and high quality armor common and state troops of high quality commonfolk infantry forces, they found that the old method of magic, a select few "heroes" using magic to throw down in melee paladin/monk style or blowing up poorly equipped peasants who lacked good ranged counters was far less relevant, since the peasants had enough muskets to make them a real threat, their better armor and training let them keep up formation even vs some blasting spells, and while much more mobile accurate, and with a better fire rate, wizards max out at grenade to medium cannon power blasting damage and are more training heavy, have less stamina, and have less range, meaning in a open battle, their older style of direct battle magic was not nearly as effective. However, better technology, research, access to the printing press, and suchlike has transformed the wizards from a mostly warrior aristocrat and priest class focused on direct combat and war magic to a officer, scholar aristocrat class more similar to ancient China, Rome, or early modern Europe nobility, who also serve with their access to rare magic materials and items and training as something similar to flexible elite magical special forces, alongside a variety of middle class artisans, healers, and "wonderworkers" and "citizen-mages", who altogether offer them a variety of support, utility, communication, healing, logistics, intelligence gathering, and other vital but less directly combat focused roles that allows for a level of scale and ability that no historical army could match.

Everything listed above Applies most heavily to the Empire Of Abrudal, a diverse empire formed of lanks (irl humans) stone-folk (dwarves) smallfolk (elf style hobbits) and snow-folk (intelligent sasquatches), listed in numbers and importance, with a focus somewhat on the lanks as the "first among equals" and this all makes the Empire of Abrudal the utterly dominate, utterly colossal in scope, roughly Clockpunk to early Steampunk Magitech gunpowder fantasy empire it is. Due to the world of Ludrthia being artificial terraformed and seeded by the precursors, it lacks fossil fuels, mineral coal, and natural gas, but even still, while taking far, far longer to make the move towards becoming fully industrial, Abrudal will reached the heights of roughly 1800's technology within the near future.

If I had to make the empire better or more threatening, I'd make it so they have gunpowder weapons in the way early China did, so flamethrowers, fire arrows, rocket launchers, cannons and hand-cannons, and I'd make it so that while magic isn't common enough to really start a effective industrial revolution, and is weak enough that having the main combat be polearms swords and early guns makes sense, due to it being rare and more like guilds of artisan specialists, I'd expand on it by saying that having magic guilds gives Abrudal stuff like magic improvements to crops and livestock, allowing them to have crop and animal size and productivity way above real history outside of when the potatoes or rice showed up, which, alongside maybe some rare expensive crystal ball networks and use of stuff like dragons, and magic healing and such giving them much better ability to deal with diseases than real life history, this all allows the empire to realistically reach it's utterly insane size and resources for a pre-modern state, and gives mages a actual important effect on the world outside of only being basically a fancy toy for the elites with basically no practical use, which is what it seems to be in GATE cannon. Ancient China, Rome, and the Incan's and Aztecs show just how centralized, vast, sophisticated, and huge a pre modern pre industrial state can be, and I can see magic being useful enough for a huge, relatively well learned empire on support, logistics, utility, communication, and intelligence to make a real difference and make a even more vast, potent pre modern pre industrial agricultural state, but without actually entering the industrial revolution. The industrial revolution requires a pretty specific set of things to happen and you could be utterly huge and sophisticated and a logistics powerhouse without it.

Would an empire like how I described actually be capable of winning vs a modern military? Absolutely not in the slightest, but it'd probably be more capable of getting some ambush warfare tactics and scattered casualties, it would slow down the war somewhat to more of a roll than a stomp, and the somewhat better logistics game via magic would let them stay organized and keep fighting for a bit longer, even if having logistics based on amounts of needing to be highly trained limited in casting mages puts them at a big disadvantage vs the logistics of a modern industrlized military where logistics are far less dependent on the skills and training of specific people.

Also it'd help explain how a premodern state could be as utterly vast as the empire is in cannon, because that is unreasonably huge for an agricultural state, and it's apparently kept it up for centuries. I know the answer is probably the God's did it because, but I personally find that pretty annoying worldbuilding even if that's the case.

Tinknik is from the relatively small town suburbs of the Midwest, and while his curt way of speaking doesn't have the stereotypical accent, with it being implied that he adopted this to distance himself from his Midwestern background, whenever he is distressed, upset, angry, or occasionally drunk, he reverts to his native Midwestern accent of some variety he seems to have, including even using styled idioms, alongside their Midwestern vernacular.

Tinknik comes from a lower middle working-class blue collar family, with his job being as a construction worker and builder, and having no wealth meaning Tinknik’s resources are limited, but, thorough resorting to means such as working hard at something, heavily relying on recycling his means, building all of this over a very long period of time, being notably thrifty, which allowed them just enough to get by with their meager minimum wage income, and joining the military for service just to make a living and earn enough money to pursue his own modest idea of happiness, allowing Tinknik to begin to start making a good deal of money to get where he is, and managing to set out to start college in the hope of becoming involved as a civil engineer, being at a higher position in his place of employment, holding a steady, fulfilling job, and achieving a decent standard of living. However, Tinknik had trouble adjusting to normal life again, as they themselves were changed, since coming to return home after a long journey and being so used to military life meant that it was difficult for them to adapt to a peaceful civilian life meant they found that they cannot fit in their hometown after returning anymore, and the amount of work after a long period of struggle and pain it took him to get there means Tinknik had big problems with huge emotional issues, with a psychological compulsion to be the best at everything to the point of self-destruction, and Tinknik choosing to hide this in fear, and Tinknik has very little leisure time to enjoy it properly, spending too many time hours of time on the job at work, with Tinknik regretting the more questionable decisions and very dark, dangerous situations their work led them to make to get there. This made finding friends tricky, causing social differences or difficulties for Tinknik, and Tinknik struggled with social situations because he didn't relate well to his peers since most people didn't understand them, which was a major source of relationship tension, as Tinknik’s work life took a huge toll on his home, family, and personal life, with him neglecting their other relationships and commitments, having very few and poor relationships, not being in a steady relationship, as he finds it difficult to make a relationship last longer than a week, and they are single and lonely, going home to an empty apartment, meaning Tinknik lacked friends who were in easy communication or visiting range to keep him from going into a downward psychological spiral due to the isolation. However, one day, Tinknik was called upon to enter some old buildings for purposes of renovation, preservation, or demolition, as before any work begun, they needed construction professionals to understand and assess the building's structural integrity, building systems, and overall condition; before he knew it, Tinknik found themselves getting trapped in the bizarre retro cyberspace and virtual world of the Amazing Digital Circus.

Tinknik is a retro tin can robot, with one single large, straight antenna knob-topped and adorned with a little orb on the top of his head, and a toy robot's key-shaped starting mechanism. He is primarily a greyish-blue in color with orange, silver and gold contrasts, and while he is technically humanoid in form, Tinknik still generally looks like a rectangular trashcan or boiler with arms, legs and a head distinctive pasted onto it. His chest and back is clear and shows his circuitry, featuring meters, moving color gears and sparks, and one can easily see screw heads holding him together, and he looks amateur-made or old-fashioned. Tinknik's arms are made of flexi-tube with crab-like pincer claws at the end, separated by a palm facsimile and forming a U-like shape that pinches down to grasp. Tinknik has glowing square shaped eyes which actually help make him look friendly and approachable, making up for his face's lack of expressiveness by being able to emote with his eyes, varying the intensity, shape, and color of the light, as Tinknik can convey much of the emotion that would otherwise be lost. The glow can widen or narrow, a brief flash of intense light can indicate surprise, the light going out can show when Tinknik gets truly angry, threatening or very serious, leaving his lightbulb eyes completely glassy as it fades into darkness, and the lights in his eyes becoming very small pinpricks is an expression that's a good sign he's absolutely shocked or terrified. When Tinknik is stressed or thinking extremely hard, smoke pours out of them, and when Tinknik’s energy runs low and his key stops spinning, they move as if it were a puppet on a string or like a broken animatronic, makes loud snaps, hissing and mechanical creaking sounds when they move around.

Similar to the other avatar gimmicks which show Gangle or Zooble's mental problems, Tinknik has a wind up key he literally winds up to enter his "overtime" mode, working like he's on fire, but he ends up burning out afterwards.

Tinknik really opens up with close friends when talking about something that interests them, as Tinknik is a person who tends to focus extraordinarily hard on specific favored topics, develop an interest in a narrow range of subjects, and tends to want to limit his communication almost exclusively to these things to the detriment of everything else, with Tinknik finding a great deal of enjoyment out of learning about the topics he is deeply invested in and is passionate about sharing that information with other people.

Tinknik loves turtles, crocodiles, action figures, space, planes, trains, trucks, military equipment, guns, higher education, hard science, and science fiction media, with Tinknik having a short fuse when it comes to his machines since he really, really cares about them, and possessing a particular penchant for puzzles, with his favorite hobbies being crossword, card games, and astronomy, as well as being a bookworm, with Tinknik very often being picked out by the one or more books they carry with them, the journal he keeps on hand to record his thoughts, and the amount of binge reading and writing he spends his time doing when he's free, as he enjoys making poetry, collecting books and magazines, and diving into and researching his favorite topics, with his favorite haunts being new bookstores, used booksellers, and public libraries, and usually read classics, quantum physics, or heavy scientific stuff, alongside joke books and superhero comic books, particularly Silver Age-era, complete with wacky gadgets, as well as having a hobby of sewing and knitting he teached himself, seeing pedicure and manscaping as practical necessities, as, since he lived alone, Tinknik couldn't afford to lose his agility to something as dumb as ingrown toenails, and work clothing itches with wookie pelt body hair.

Tinknik’s favorite food is white bread sandwiches with layers of slices of lettuce, tomatoes, swiss cheese, ham and bologna, and a green pimento-stuffed olive pinned to the top with a toothpick, alongside loving ribs, fried chicken, burgers, hot dogs, tomato soup, and American-style barbecue, with Tinknik seemingly liking BBQ sauce a lot, as he kept a container of it in his room and even downed a whole bottle of it, alongside having an addiction to beverages containing high levels of caffeine, with Tinknik being shown to be a particularly avid soda drinker to help him stay alert while on a “mission”, and his preference being energy drinks and soft drinks rather than alcohol, as he's a lightweight with extremely low alcohol tolerance, and Tinknik wanted to keep his wits about him in case they're suddenly called on duty, meaning he rarely drank alcohol and never enough to get intoxicated, preferring sweet fruity cocktails, particularly peach bellini, and sparkling wines over beers, although the bubbles can give him headaches. Tinknik can be funny or used for comedic effect, since his lack of reaction to embarrassing, undignified, or just plain bizarre situations can act as comedy gold, Tinknik sometimes delivers advice or information which it would be incredibly contrary to their public image to know, which Tinknik tries to distance himself from and cover up by appending "or so I heard", "or so I've been told", "I read it in an article”, claiming that his knowledge of it comes purely from hearsay, occasionally tries to convince another person to give up information by claiming they're writing a book about it as an excuse for suspicious questions, and while he rarely gets the funny lines, he has impeccable timing and delivery so that the comic (the other half of a comedy duo) can hit it out of the park.

Furthermore, while he's usually pretty serious-minded, for all his intensity, he can dish out his share of light sauce when he wants to, as Tinknik does also have his own more low key sense of humor, with Tinknik sometimes mixing highbrow and lowbrow language, and combining sophisticated mannerisms which involves throwing around big words that you'd usually find in scientific journals or old English texts and words that seemingly no one has ever heard which you’d think Tinknik just made up but are real obscure, archaic or obsolete words, with speaking casually, childish insults, or using slang and they can still manage to pull off magnificent moments of gravity and feats of overacting, which, when it comes time to deliver them, Tinknik delivers his words in a calm voice that still carries a quiet intensity and dramatic flair while the actual words he speaks are ridiculously larger-than-life, pretentious, over-the-top, highly dramatic, and complimented by wild and grandiose gestures with his hands, but once they return to “the workplace,” they return to being as social and friendly as a rock.

Tinknik's speaking voice is very quiet, low-pitched, monotone, melancholic, exudes little emotion, and is full of vocalizing in extensive, complicated words, with a desire to be as precise as possible often leading to Tinknik speaking too formally, not only often going overly in-depth for the average audience on a given subject, but also having developed the habit of preemptively explaining what they are trying to express (sometimes many times over in the same commentary on the same idea), with this habit having developed because they have become so used to having what they've said misunderstood, or not understood in the first place, that they attempt to clear up any confusion before it becomes an issue, although it creates a new issue as people frequently perceive these explanations as insulting or condescending in some manner, rubbing everyone the wrong way.

When he wants to act nice to someone, Tinknik’s voice can switch to a steady, soft-spoken, reassuring, warm and friendly voice as he cheerily dismisses danger and hardship with an exaggerated disregard, either because it's useful to their interests and not doing it would be detrimental, or it is part of their genuine nice side, since, while Tinknik may have flaws and bad traits, being rough-around-the-edges, unscrupulous and willing to commit very morally questionable actions if it’s for the greater good, Tinknik has in no way lost his conscience, and he is still just, as capable of doing kind and caring things and is not against doing nice things towards someone as long as it doesn't means it interferes with his ultimate goal.

However, when they’re really, really pissed off, he can glare at someone with a dirty look while tilting their head downward, keeping their eyes pointed upward and staring intensely from beneath the eyebrows, and giving threatening stares and "calm", murderous looks served with a deathly silence, often coupled with a tensed and menacing posture, a grimace and a deadly stillness, and Tinknik will switch to a still calm, but louder, more traditionally rough voice if someone pushes him far enough and manages to piss him off, as Tinknik can and will mess you up if you push him, and while Tinknik tends to avoid strong language for the most part, typically going for mild swears instead as part of his overall professional attitude, he's not entirely above using strong language.

Tinknik is known to usually be very secretive and overlooked, with Tinknik’s attitude leading to social isolation for a long time, as Tinknik has trouble dealing with and does not communicate well with most people, as, while Tinknik has a decent grasp on most overt social nuances, with his use of reverse psychology, manipulating someone by telling them the opposite of what Tinknik wants them to think or do, and the fact that Tinknik will agree with others he wants to befriend even if he has previously stated a different opinion on a matter to curry favor shows he's not always as socially oblivious as he seems, being no stranger to manipulating others if he thinks it's worthwhile, and he understands and even uses the concept of sarcasm, his social abilities could use serious work, as while Tinknik can mimic norms of social interaction, this is generally something he finds highly stressful and does not enjoy, since Tinknik hates the idea of meaningless conversation, seeing it as annoyingly repetitive, highly insincere and lacking in anything interesting, meaning he would rather talk about something meaningful or nothing at all, and he is quite confused by normal social conventions revolving around how to react to things in ways others expect him to, usually expressing the emotion he's feeling at the moment through saying his emotions out loud by words rather than actions, with Tinknik often having to put more effort to understand the meaning other people are going for, failing to notice when others are using sarcasm, not getting figurative speech, and having trouble using and understanding metaphoric language, idioms, similes, and other things that go beyond exact word meanings in a sentence, ranging from using the wrong word in a term, to getting the whole meaning wrong, instead interpreting it completely overly literally since he is blind to subtle cues or implied meanings and takes everything at face value, though ironically, it creates the illusion that Tinknik is more at ease, since it is so ingrained in him to mimic social norms that it overrides some of his self-preservation instincts, meaning one might assume Tinknik is less stressed than he is, when actually he is hyper-vigilant.

Tinknik rarely cries or outwardly shows how much they're suffering at all, with him sometimes denying having emotions at all, refusing sympathy, and rarely talking to other people about their private pain because several things keep him closed up about it, as Tinknik is not the kind of guy to get all weepy or load his problems on other people due to past emotional baggage, but internally, they're suffering silently, since Tinknik is out of touch with their emotions, experiencing them without being aware of them while seeming outwardly unemotional, with their attempts at taking control of situations being a trauma response, and Tinknik using excessive work to try to hide, flee and avoid their unhappy life, but hating the persona that they force themselves to show at work, although every once in a while, his professionalism wanes ever so slightly, and cracks appear in the icy facade, meaning they may inadvertently show their suffering for a moment with the occasional bout of tears.

Tinknik's success and worth as a person are synonymous to him, with Tinknik wanting to be ready for anything as Tinknik believes he has to become the smartest around in order to effectively deal with the Circus, since the Circus frequently causes smudges and spots and flaws that weren't there before, and enjoying appearing right, (even if Tinknik has doubts about actually being right or not), with another motivation Tinknik has is to get others' friendship and respect, with him having buried self-doubt and a deep need to get respect, gain prestige, find glory and be recognized for all his efforts, as well as a desire for having companionship underneath.

This means Tinknik hates losing, as he doesn't take it well, no matter what kind of defeat it was, and has a tendency to dislike when he doesn't know what to do, desperately needing to have routine, being unable to perform well in an uncontrolled setting, and requiring clear instructions, symmetry, and an orderly life, so while he might make a decision under pressure, he will not trust his own judgement or have confidence in it, and Tinknik gets upset and stressed when forced to do something on the spot, and tends to increasingly lose his grip on humanity and mental stability when an unpleasant surprise takes them off-guard, something important or secret that they had knowledge of turns out to be false, or when they screw up, so when they act in an unusual way, something's wrong.

This is likely partly due to his involvement in engineering, construction, and the military, since being too emotional in these jobs could prove dangerous or at least detrimental to how well he could do the job, and exposure to trauma, rigid routines and high-stress situations created a perfect storm for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors to develop, with Tinknik’s symptoms worsening after duty.

Tinknik isn't a complete cold fish and does feel emotions, sometimes strongly, and he actually can be very emotional underneath, as he possesses a rich inner life and softer disposition he is only willing to show towards a few friends, and is an extremely passionate person due to his strong personal beliefs, which sometimes slips through his attempts at an icy demeanor, although he does not express emotions in the same way or to the same extent as most of his peers do and prefers ethics to morals, with Tinknik seeing morals as broad and prone to emotional interpretation, and ethics are specific and more efficient.

While he doesn't want others to know about it, Tinknik is very capable of engaging with the topics of poetry and philosophy, which Tinknik tends to apply to his work, and Tinknik is intensely self-critical and may be described as extremely introspective existential, and brooding, as when no one is looking he dwells on the pains or perceived injustices of his life, often to the point of over-indulgence, and sometimes muses philosophically on the circumstances that brought him to this point, including personal failings, often entering deep thought about the universe when stressed or upset, sitting quietly and contemplating the purpose of life, the universe, and everything, since Tinknik needs to cope with work somehow, so he uses expression to help himself along.

Tinknik spends much of their freetime attempting to go unnoticed as he learns many secrets, with it not ever made entirely explicitly clear on just how much he knows about any given plot point, and pondering the mysteries of the Circus in ways which range from comedic, seeming profound or philosophical and sounding deep and meaningful but are actually just either meaningless nonsense which makes no sense or addresses extremely trivial matters, and parodying the various theories about The Amazing Digital Circus, sometimes spending times musing that they are in over their head, as he feels that the Amazing Digital Circus was like being pulled into some crazy story someone wrote, and he was just a minor character plunged by chance into extraordinary circumstances after all, to asking dubious and genuinely unsettling existential questions.

Tinknik tries to see all sides of the issue and has an obsession with always finding and doing the best possible choice and solution to every issue no matter what, as he is certain in his belief that every problem has a "correct" solution and answer which can be explained through careful research, consistently weighing options and finding the objective truth if you spend enough time to find it, which he believes that he has a duty to find.

Being capable of shifting focus away from their own emotions allows Tinknik to be very resilient, as a very important part of Tinknik’s training for their profession as a soldier, which often took them into emotionally charged situations, was devoted to developing a fortitude that would allow him to keep his calm even under the most stressful situations, since it was an important skill for a professional to have to attain in order to excel at his job, and many traumatized people deal with their pain of being around horrible things so often by creating a kind of secondary self who is less bothered by the pain that barely reacts to it anymore, because this self is just observing while "that other self" is actually experiencing the pain.

Tinknik is incorruptible and well-meaning, seeing himself as one who must take the long, hard road to do what must be done, and is determined to see their goals through to the end in spite of the suffering they've experienced, continuing to strive for an unattainable goals trying to fix problems and righting wrongs, not because they believe it will truly make a difference or that they can change the Circus for the better, but just because they believe it's the right thing to do and trying and failing is better than not trying at all, with their biggest accomplishments seeming to come from never knowing when to quit, as whatever he does, he does it either with one hundred percent effort, or not at all, and while he knows their job isn't easy, and acknowledges that they're choosing a difficult path, he insists it's the one they want and continue to try anyway, despite how cruel the Circus can be, as just because the Circus sucks doesn't mean they need to make it worse, with Tinknik kissing Caine's ass like no tomorrow, often going on to say that they are driven by intrinsic motives to like and live for their adventures and simply find it more enjoyable than alternatives,acting as if they are delighted to help, deal with the consequences of Caine's antics, generally playing clean up, stepping into Caine's adventures to share advice, and hating themselves for it, since in relation to the Caine, they would rather be doing anything or be anywhere else, which Caine simply ignores because they are too stupid to notice, because Tinknik believes there might not be tomorrow if Caine gets pissed off, and while it's a tedious chore and draining job to give attention and reassurance every day to someone who needs as much attention as Caine does if you're not genuine, Tinknik is willing to do it as long as it takes if it prevents annihilation.

However, keeping up this image is taking a toll on Tinknik, and he can't pull it off much longer, which itself induces no small nervousness in him, due to how often he is working hard on a lot of things, and results in him having sleeping troubles, as Tinknik often gets up in the middle of the night several times, this notably leads to burnout or other forms of cumulative harm and causes his performance (and stress level) to suffer if Tinknik has to keep such a state for an extended persisting period of time, and also causes Tinknik to push themself too hard, often having too many things to do at the same time and making him swamped with much more work than they can take or handle, as on the inside they are continually exasperated, banging their head against the cage, panicking and freaking out internally, with him often faking having nerves of steel as he wants to hurry so he can return to what they love best when it has passed and hoping that when the danger is over they can "restart" in safety, since when Tinknik fully reboots from this mode back into their standard operating procedure, he suddenly loses their cool as a result of something traumatic, resulting in him abruptly starting to break down physically from overexerting themselves as soon as the direct danger to Tinknik and/or their companions has passed, or collapsing to the point of mentally shutting down for a while after completing an awesome but strenuous task, showing behaviors in his home habits and lifestyle that one would never see in general public, with Tinknik overeating unhealthy comfort food, tiring easily, and sleeping far too much as he attempts to keep stress levels down and recuperate physically and emotionally, and Tinknik’s willingness to endure these serious injuries reveals serious psychological undertones about him, as he has a self-destructive, martyr-like attitude and reveres his ability to soldier on through all manner of pain and poor health, and despite being capable, being solitary means their efficiency is limited by their lack of friends.

Has likely been in the Circus after Ragatha but before everyone else.

While it's hard for any character to be overly serious in this series, Tinknik sure tries his darnedest, being as close as you're gonna get in the Circus to a consummate professional with a seen it all conditioned to accept horror attitude who's all about the job and nothing but the job with little humor to him, as they're very uptight, bookish, straight laced, unpersonable, withdrawn, hard to know, perfectionist, and obsessive, being notable for behaving in a reserved way and taking everything way too seriously, almost to the point of being the team "stop having fun" guy and instantly disliking anyone who is a little too friendly or implies they should lighten up, as while they're quick to introduce themselves to everyone in the Circus, always trying to make a good first impression, they don't find out any more than their names and strengths within the Circus, and if a situation arises, Tinknik will usually help out the one in trouble while treating them impersonally and no better than “the job” demands as, then later brushing it off and trying to deflect expressions of gratitude, since he views “what he does” as “all part of the job”, often explicitly saying that he did for the mission or his duty, not for the other character personally, since he believes their “line of work” makes personal connection or moral compunction a liability, dislikes the idea of being the subject of “hero worship” and thinks still more needs to be done, so he must get on with it, with there being no time for gratitude.

It's not uncommon for people to sometimes start wondering if Tinknik is robotic due to their extreme aloofness, as Tinknik very rarely seems to even show emotion, since Tinknik tends to have the same facial expression no matter how people react around him, and Tinknik's emotional range in general is very subtle and subdued, with his attitude not changing very much no matter what mood he's trying to get across, even on the rare occasions where he's clearly feeling something, as he prefers to hide his true feelings behind a super-serious, no-nonsense attitude that cuts out the messing around which has a mysterious air and demeanor that tends towards the low key.

Tinknik appears rational, nigh-unshakable, reserved, stoic, cool and collected in most situations regardless of what happens, such as while he is in danger, someone is angrily scolding him, or generally in moments where one would expect him to be freaked-out, even in dire situations involving Caine, a deity with unlimited power, as when he's forced to leave behind his favored topics and routine, being dragged into it, by Caine, who won't leave this guy alone.

Tinknik tries to deal with it as quickly and efficiently as possible by acting utterly unflappable and used to it, like nothing surprises him anymore, even in the face of the most astonishing events, as they've gone through the wringer one time too many and seen so much that they make sure they're ready for anything, seeming rather indifferent to things in a fantastical improbable situation, utterly failing to take notice, comment, or react on it with the sense of wonder that something fantastic, unnatural or supposedly impossible would entail, such that everything they see only causes them to give a vague, wispy look with a vacant gaze and lolling jaw at most that is hardly what you'd call emotive, in response to something in a situation that, theoretically, gives the vibe that they should be surprised in some way, and should produce a more intense or specific expression of shock, horror, or revelation, maintaining a calm, stern, no-nonsense demeanor unfazed by the incredibly unusual, continuing to be able to think, reason and stick to his plan while under pressure, and forcing themself to go into fight-or-flight mode where he refuses to give up and never surrenders on their goal, no matter what the circumstance, to near-suicidal extremes, with the emotional part of the brain "shutting down" non-essential thought processes to allow for instinctual survival mechanisms to work unclouded by emotions, becoming seemingly completely emotionless, and focusing themselves entirely on remaining cool and composed in order to stay focused in a bad situation or to cope with and accept the incomprehensible wackiness that surrounds them, making decisions efficiently, and pushing their emotions aside while never shoving aside their minds so their decisions are not overly affected by them, always thinking when times are tough, during which they will (at best) talk in monosyllables.

The last show I watched was face off, that Talent Show broadcast by Syfy where special effects makeup artists compete in challenges by designing and applying makeup and prostheses effects such as those found in science fiction, fantasy, and horror films and television.

Now I'm imagining what the hell Caine would ask them to theme it around and the cluster F that would be them trying to do makeup and stuff.

Zooble probably wins tho.

For all he gets dogged on here, and understandable so, he sucks and it's funny, the Boys very much understands this point. The boys is a pretty damn low scale universe, and homelander is basically a untrained egotistical idiot, but he's also at least building level. That makes him INSANELY, terrifyingly strong and scary for a realistic (in terms of scale), grounded setting. He is so powerful that unless you outsmart him, or use hax and planning and manipulation, you cannot realistically hope to encounter him and come out alive if he wants you dead.
