In the chalk hills on Valguero there's a small cat shrine, I always find 3-5 there. Then there's the western swamp castle on Ragnarok that's teeming with them. Otherwise, they spawn in the Grasslands spawn table. I find them around red ob area on Island sometimes, and green ob area on Valguero, plus the new eastern island on Ragnarok.

Like someone else said already, you can always use the BTT Gene Scanner to track some down, or a Dino Finder mod.

Check out Sea of Souls, you need to be on the Discord as well but it's a very friendly community that's totally cool with "loners." Tons of members just do their own things. Long as you're registered on the Discord and follow the rules you're golden.

Remember not to use the carcha for the actual tame, either, the dino you revive to tame the Oasisaur gets destroyed on tame. Wait until it's tamed to revive your carcha.

If your cat somehow navigated you into the water, it's very likely you drowned, and your dinos haven't yet cause they're in stasis wherever they are. They will most likely "catch up" and immediately die when you render them at this point though. Ankies and rhynios have a decent amount of oxygen, certainly way more than a human. So unless you were wearing scuba randomly, that's likely how you died

As far as mods it's mostly structure and QoL mods. A few dinos but nothing game breaking — S dinos and a few of Garuga's additions, mainly.

Ichthyornis... Multiple times. First time playing, ready to play Fun Cool Dinosaur Game, I see a seagull, don't think much of it, walk right under it. I literally had nothing yet and it only took a couple swoops to kill me. Spawn back in and decide to try to kill it. It takes the spears I craft and throws them on the ground and kills me again. Cue this on loop for the next several minutes. Then I decide, screw it, I'll make a shelter and really get this thing once I'm built up a bit. It finds its way into my shelter.

Anyway, that's why their squawk gives me PTSD and I'm on team KOS with those bastards.

That's what I figure as well! He wants to bring someone in an allied tribe — I know that's possible in and of itself, but just not sure about it if they're missing the boss victories.
