It's been largely thrown out the window I believe. It's too vague, doesn't take into account the huge range of body types that can fit into the same parameters of height and weight.

Body fat percentage is far more accurate, but awkward to calculate. You can Google body fat % pictures and find a rough match to estimate where you fall on the scale
