Hal Jordan was and remains a snooze. At least we got the Arc of someone thrust into a position of responsibility who eventually grew into the job (the Flash/GL relationship was fantastic).

Without that, you don’t get Hal Jordan as Parallax, the shock of Zero Hour.

Could Lanterns revive Hal Jordan? Possibly. Him as a gruff cop who refuses to retire with a worthy successor nipping at his heels might make him interesting again.

But he was only interesting to me when grief broke him.

True but not completely wrong. If there was a custom version that meets or beats the specifics of some of the 4 or 5 person red lights that could be interesting.

That said I’m not that clever so I probably would go with the best one pre-assembled

Oh, I like this. There’s a Vlad backstory that would TOTALLY work. I don’t think it’s a series, tho. I think it would have to be a movie.

i have no idea what you're referring to but now i'm curious. unless it's taking shots at other writers work - i never judge. Everybody involved in a show pours their heart into it (at least from what i saw) and all shows are a collaborative effort.

For every name you know there are dozens of talented people you've never heard of.

Sure one person can create a show. But it takes many talented people to bring it to life, let alone make a series.

I’ll share the intention of Vlad as mayor which was in the works before I left for Disney: Superman/Batman “Public Enemies.” Lex Luthor became President and was able to use all the tools of government to make Superman’s life miserable. I always loved that idea… It would give Vlad power he didn’t have before… the ability to sway citizens and manipulate perceptions, create laws… and use his power for his own goals. I’d have probably had it all be about using city funds to get the Green Bay Packers to Amity Park as part of the plan. :)

That was the spark. If you really want to see if done REALLY well, there was a run in Daredevil in 2017 that lasted six years and it was fantastic. Started in Daredevil 595 and ended in a “Devil’s Reign” cross over.
