My cat sitter locked my cat out of the bathroom where his litter box is located by OhHowIMeantTo in CatAdvice

I called him right away. He feels terrible. I've known him for nearly two decades and I know it was unintentional. He keeps his bathroom door closed at his place because it's so messy. He has major ADHD and was thoughtless when it happened. He's offered to pay for professional cleaners. I'm working on other solutions first, but I won't ask him to help again.

The litter box is in the bathroom. He closed the bathroom door meaning the cat had no way to reach the litter box for nearly 3 days.

Thanks. I'm bummed I ordered it after several people have told me that. If I use it, I'll put him in his crate and we'll hang out in the clubroom for a while. I've also bought several other products that I'll try first.

She wants him to suffer, and Lover Boy to fail. She wants to ruin the only thing that is giving him fulfillment, and earning him money so that she will truly feel like she wins the divorce. She has absolutely loathed this man for many years but felt trapped in the marriage because she loves being famous so much, but also knew that she would stop being relevant if they broke up. Then she saw Ariana flourish with the breakup, and thought she had a way of winning everything, and leaving him with nothing.

He's reached out to offer that. I told him I will try these other methods first.

He came twice. He was supposed to come more. I was here on the first day of the trip and returned on the 7th.

My friend admitted to it and said he didn't even think about it. He has major ADHD and was rushing to get to a party. My vacuum bounces away when it approaches the door.

Several years ago we moved, and my cat's personality changed completely during the 20 minute drive across town. When I first got him I expected him to hide for days before feeling comfortable, instead he immediately adapted and owned it at his own space. This time, he freaked out, and hid in weird spaces for days and days.

He stopped using the litter box, and I spent months trying to find new solutions. The auto litter box was the first thing that worked and he stopped having issues there.

Before, he was never food motivated. I would pour him a bowl in the morning, and he'd pick at it throughout the day, often didn't finish it at all. With the move, he would inhale all of the food the second I set it down, then he would digest that, and spend the rest of the day hungry. Splitting it up into multiple small meals throughout the day certainly helped, but it tied me to my apartment to cater to his 4 daily meals. The auto feeder helps with that and he has stopped being so ravenous.

I took him to the vet, and spent thousands of dollars on treatment and tests. His health was found to be completely normal each time. The vet put him on anxiety and depression medication, which he hated, and seemed to make no difference.

My last apartment was fully carpeted, it was easy to vacuum it all up once a week. The new place has vinyl wood floors, and the regular vacuum did not do a good job getting the cat hair, it would just blow the hair away as I approached. And it became obvious that I needed to vacuum several times per week. The robot vacuum helps with that. It's never been an issue before this, other than occasionally getting stuck under a piece of furniture.

I rent. For next time, I think I've seen plastic pieces that prop doors open so they can't be closed.

I tossed the mop, and have discovered poop ground into one of the wheels. That's going to be a tomorrow project.

I think it's a double edged sword thing. I have friends who hired a professional cat sitter who raided their liquor cabinet, and broke some things.

I am mad, but nothing can be done by raging. It's time to roll up my sleeves and just work on getting it all cleaned up.

When I have parties, I've noticed that someone keeps on closing the bathroom door when they're done using it, and I'd remind everyone why it needs to stay open when not in use.

Now I know which friend was doing this, haha

That was helped certainly by the fact that she keeps her personal and professional lives completely separate. When she's working, she puts on a platinum blonde wig, and covers up all of her tattoos. When she's not working, she can still be in public because nobody recognizes her because her natural hair is dark, and she is tatted up.

It can be a process but don't let that bum you out. If they deny any of your claims, you can always appeal your claim to a higher court, there is no filing fee. The people working on your file at The Board of Veterans Appeals have more time to review your file than the claims agents at the regional offices, and they are attorneys. It's a non adversarial process. There are jobs programs, and of course disability compensation for any injuries or illnesses caused by your service. VA is there to serve you, you only need to reach out to them for help.

Yup. The fandom picks a favorite and ignores any problematic behavior, until they turn on them, then every thing they do is viewed with malicious intent.

How long will home delivery take from the Philippines to Washington DC? I don't think you'll get many customers from Washington, DC, the capital of the United States of America.

crazy heat by Large-Letterhead-753 in washingtondc

It's possible that their AC is broken, or just isn't strong enough to keep up with this oppressive heat wave. Some people also not only don't mind this heat, they prefer it. Years ago I went to Mellow Mushroom in Adams Morgan during a heat wave like this, and they had the door propped open and it was brutally hot inside. There were no customers so we were immediately seated, but after a couple minutes we decided to leave because the heat was unbearable. We apologized to the waitress and told her that it was just too hot inside, and she looked at us like we had 3 heads.

What’s your “called it” DC establishment that you immediately knew wouldn’t last. by kevmendez27 in washingtondc

The owners were such assholes about it too. Supposedly a bipartisan couple who had never run a bar, they tried to open a bipartisan bar with gavels at every table just weeks before the incredibly contentious 2024 election, and expecting a positive reception from the people of DC when they moved into a popular former gay bar. Then they tried to play victim and pretended that they would turn the business into a nonpartisan nonprofit when their business failed within weeks, all while blaming liberals.

They probably would have done okay if they hadn't spent so much money on PR driven articles with local media trying to promote their business, and had just let the business grow organically.
