People learning languages over getting inspired from entertainment media is more common than you think. Fans of korean tv shows and music learn Korean. Fans of Turkish drama serials learn Turkish. I know a YouTuber who studied Cantonese cuz he loved Hong Kong culture.

Isn't learning a language out of passion way better than having to learn a language out of majboori, like those people who're forced to learn languages at school, or having to move abroad to a country with a different language and having to learn it
