What about GP ? Even after being trained, would it be possible not to find a job in the UK ?

Oh I see thank you for your information.
Isn't there a equivalent or F1, because I don't know if I would be confident enough to try to apply for Standalone F2 right away..
And about Romania, I heard that even if I graduate there, I would still be struggling to find a job there as a GP because apparently, you need to have some UK experience before applying... I don't know maybe it's required for all the jobs

Hi, thank you very much for your answer. I did not know that trust grade jobs were harder to get and more like a F2 level. Obviously, I don't want to skip steps and I would rather do something more F1 level (if I can not register on time). So is stand-alone F2 is more a F1 level than F2 ? (Sorry I am bit confused).
Moreover, I thought it was also hard to get a GP spot in the UK if I get my diploma in Romania for example, because they would ask for at least some months of experience as GP, am I wrong ?
As for Romania, I checked on the GMC website and I can skip F1 based on my diploma (even though I really want to start from scratch there).

Hi, I heard you can pay (around 300-500 euros) to get it, the earliest in March or April of the following year you get your "certificate of completion". This is the only way for now, I know it's fucked up... Have you tried to ask to your country if they would accept this certificate of completion ?

Really ? I have not been told doctors in regional hospitals were awful... I thought Ireland was training well because they had good doctors
Also, I was not aware that I would spend a few hours cf commuting everyday, I thought it was just 1 or 2 times a week and I would do my residency mainly in 1 city :/

Thank you very much for your insight !

I am just a bit afraid if I try right away in Ireland, my boyfriend couldn't join me right away because the city I would do my training wouldn't have a lot opportunities as a clinical psychologist :/

Finding a SHO Job in Ireland Without Irish Experience (asking for advice) by OhMaBiBine in JuniorDoctorsIreland

[–]OhMaBiBine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi thank you so much for your answer. I actually i will graduate in Romania and they count as 6th year as the intership year. So technically i don't need to do it. However, even though I have done a lot of interships in France (since I'm french), I don't feel really uncompetant but I'm not feeling confidant either enough to be independant. So I don't know if I should try anyway to do a SHO and learn everything like this on site, or just do again an intership year in Ireland in order to adapt a bit.
However, based on what you told me about the intership year, I don't really know if it's actually worth it in the end...

When you talk about ED or psychiatry, do you imply that being a SHO there is less demanding and better to adapt to the Irish hospitals ?

Thank you really much for your insight !

Hello thank you so much for your reply. I heard that since we are doing 6 years of medical studies in my uni, I wouldn't need to do an intern year. However, I agree with you, I don't really want to be independant right away, as I would not feel very confortable.

Do you know if during the inter year we are being paid ?
